Taking in nature's power and beauty.
It's been very hot this past week and thankfully a nice cool breeze pitched up this afternoon.
So, at 6:30pm, we decided to go out for a walk at our local park.
It is essential for us to walk, as I am not a youngster anymore and sitting around is asking for trouble. I so wish that I could run, but after a serious motorbike accident in 1980, my running days were completely over. Thankfully I can still walk, and that's a great help to keep one's fitness levels up. Having my camera with me, makes a long walk a pleasure as there is so much to see.
Maybe you will agree with me, that taking photos along the way is always a good idea, and I did just that as you will see in here.
Clouds were streaming over, driven by the wind and in the clouds the moon added some character to this photo below.
I love to watch the clouds slipping around on the mountain peaks, and you can see what I mean here below.
Then it was our signal to return home, as the sun started to drop down on the horizon.
But not before I took this lovely tree silhouette with the sunset in the background.
Planning for the week ahead is difficult, as the power cuts rule and we have to plan around them. South Africa's economy suffers severely under the power cuts and at times it seems to be a never ending story. We have had so many empty promises that the power cuts would end soon, but no such luck and things just continue to go downhill. All of the charity meetings of the week will keep us on our toes, as things are bad out there and people are desperate.
Please don't mind if I tell you all of this, but I want to show you the reason why we so often seek solace in the open arms of Mother nature.
Such is life.
I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Thank you!
Human beings always make the best of the situations we face, if there are power outages you take advantage of it to take a walk and have contact with nature and disconnect from technology, it shows our ability to adapt.
Agreed, as human beings were designed to survive and overcome the vagaries of life. The power cuts grant us a lot of time in nature, and it's our way of adapting to it. !LOL
