Taking evasive action.

This little guy knows all about avoiding trouble.

So why and how did he escape up into this high tree?

The why was easy, as it saw me coming, and the why is also that they are clever enough not to trust mankind. The how, is also easy, as the squirrels have long front and back paw nails, and they help it to climb at speed, as their hind legs are very powerful. It is a Cape Grey Squirrel, and they are real cute critters.
Then I also have a Cape White-eye to show you, and they are also very cute little things.

Look at that tail when it spotted me and ran towards that tree.

High speed up the trunk.

And finally, having a look at me from a safe place. Somehow, they know that men can't climb as fast as they can. Lol.

Come and have a look at this hungry little Cape White-eye, that came in to sit on the bottom of the fence at our home.

It looked like it found something to eat, but as quick as they come, just so quick do they leave.

Finally, just a dove preening its tail with the sunset cloud background.

Just to show you some lovely sights, as we have the weekend coming up, and I hope that the views will give you a relaxed mind. Many of us, here on Hive, have other jobs that require a lot of time, and then we also have other activities to squeeze into the week. When it comes to time for a post on Hive, one can view a blog as a stress reliever as we can all write about anything that we want to. We encounter many stressful situations in our charity work, and I find Hive and nature to be a great escape from real life. So, as that squirrel fled up into that tree, just so do I flee up into my blogs, as nature offers us freedom with no bounds.
I hope that you also see Hive as an escape from the bounds of this world and enjoy writing your blogging from your heart instead of from your mind.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

In the same way, animals and birds know which place and which birds can harm them, so they do not go to that place.
