Some more of Mother nature's beauty.

I have taken a large number of nature photos and split some selected ones up into two posts thus far. Here's the first post.

Now here we were very close to the mountain of which I could only take photos of from a distance.

In fact we were right next to the mountain and I was so happy to get some shots. I will show you in the next post why we came here, but first in here I want you to share the beauty with us. It is indeed a wonderful place, clean and tidy with lungsful of fresh mountain air. Vineyards have a fragrance of their own and often the sweet smell of flowers also tickles one's nose. Not even to talk about the citrus smells of fruit.
So come and join us.

And on the right hand side of the mountain above ran this mountain range. It continues right around and ends in the sea.

But let's get back to the single mountain as my subject. The following photos were taken across a dam's surface.

Finally, we had a bad fire here this past July and the black lines of the hills at the left hand side of the mountain, are accentuated by the new green growth of the spring season.

So, I trust that you enjoyed the tour and the beauty that is so abundant all over. One can get that real farm feeling of timelessness and drift off into a dream world of being invincible and invisible. Like timeless spirits floating through terra cotta and owning all of the beauty. Being in perfect synchrony with nature, beauty and filled with the power of the mountains.
I was hoping to get the famous African Fish Eagle at the dam as many times I heard his call in this area from a distance, but no such luck.
Maybe some other time if I get a chance to come here again.

For now, I hope that you have enjoyed the beauty and the story.

Thank you and the great thing is that they offer many different hiking tours at different levels, such as easy ones, medium and difficult ones. There are also motorized tours that that take visitors very close to the mountains to visit the wine cellars or fly fishing at a dam and even clay pigeon shooting.

I have not been on any of them, as I like to do my own thing.

Always sad to hear as now mother nature needs all of the help that she can get.
But then again, nature has always overcome and this time round she might overcome so much that she she will squeeze or burn the profit hunters out.
