Some lovely Spring season sights.

Oh yes, we had tons of winter rains, and this was only the start of the colors.

The Acrea butterflies made their spring season appearance.

I have a smorgasbord of colors in here to share with you today, on this early second day of our first spring month. How funny are we as human beings? At first, we shiver in the winter cold and complain endlessly that we so wish that summer will come. Then a hot spring day arrives, and we complain about the heat and the sweat, saying that we cannot wait for the next winter to come. And then we are not even in summer with its blazing African sun yet. Head spinning stuff :)
Any case, come and look at what I have to share.

And here below are two shots of a Painted Lady butterfly basking in the sun.

Another two shots of the Acreas.

And then two shots of a honeybee on some lovely daisies. Look how full of pollen that bee is.

Incidentally, bees use pollen to make honey and bees should be protected.

I have shown you the red protea pincushion flowers, and I got another shot of a Cape Sugarbird. Maybe its going to nest in a bush somewhere close.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that winter left us with a snow reminder that it will be back next year. I will do a post of the snow soon.

Spring is a blessing with all of the new life, and after the cold and the rain, this spring season is going to be spectacular. Wildflower carpets will drape the open lands as far as the eye can see, and the new bright yellow canola lands will be a real show. So, a rainbow of colors waits for us to go and explore. Not even to talk about the abundance of wildlife and the arrival of the migrating birds from the north of Africa, and Europe, as they all breed here. I cannot tell you how excited we get when a large flock of flamingos come flying over so low down that one can hear the swooshing sound of their wings. We live in the Cape of Storms, but after winter all things change into paradise. Blessed we are indeed.
Such is life.

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

The pincushion flower is something that has been in my surroundings for a while but I didn't know the name of it😂😂

The pictures are wonderful though...

Ooh, those are two extremes from hell to the freezer! And, of course, you will have a great reason to complain. I was just focusing on the dissatisfactions in our lives, so many of them.
Thank you and take care.
