Some amazing nature views.
The clouds were returning to take up water again.
I tried to hide the sun behind the lamp shade but couldn't quite get it right this time.
No worry, as there will always be a next time, and in the meantime, somebody would also have straightened the lamp pole. we come here often, as I like to keep an eye on the sunbirds progress, as they are not quite ready yet for the mating game, as it will only take place in the final weeks of our winter. But of course, in the meantime we love nature and there is always something going on close to the mountains.
So come and feast your eyes, as I will also show you one of my favorite sunbirds.
Mr. Malachite came in to have a look at me, and he sat on a Protea Pincushion flower bud.
Once that all of the pincushion buds have opened, they will start to mate, as then there will be enough food for the babies. You can see the lovely colors of this pincushion bush, and not one of the yellow pincushion bushes have opened yet.
Hey, he said, I seem to remember you and maybe you saw me as a baby?
Some cloud and tree reflections in the ponds, as the fountains were off, but the wind rippled the water.
Some shots below on our way back home.
So great to have some winter sunlight again after all of the storms.
They have lined the street in the photo above with new young trees, and I bet that 10 years from now, it will be a pleasure to drive along on this road. We love trees and our hearts were broken when they started to cut all of the old oak trees down, due to a pesky borer beetle infestation. So yes, hundreds of trees were destroyed, not only here, but also in other parts of the country. I have done a full borer beetle post before, but please don't ask me when. We have heard some whispers that the pesky beetles are now also starting to invade other countries, and I hope that they have not arrived in your country. In any case nature is a survivor no matter what mankind does to it, and way beyond the extinction of human life on this planet, nature will still be around in some form or another.
Such is life.
I hope that you enjoyed the story and the pictures.

I love the pictures of the buds. They look extremely colourful and the bird just takes the crown basking in all that beauty.
I do hope to see how the road would look like with trees lined up years from now.🌺
Oh yeah, the pincushions are very colorful flowers, and the sunbirds love their nectar.
Maybe I will no longer be on this planet to see the full grown trees, but it doesn't matter to me, as future generations will see it.

Yes, the malachite birds are known as the kings of the sunbird species. Glad that you liked the photos, !LOLZ
