So many wide open spaces here.

First up is a view from an aunt's home.

Imagine looking at that every day, and if that is not enough, just take a short drive around.

My wife's aunt was pleading for a visit, as she had booked us for a Christmas lunch at a top restaurant, but sadly we had to cancel a few days before the event, as I was placed on a 10 day course of a very strong anti-biotic due to a health mishap. That stuff was so strong that I virtually walked around like a zombie, it also weakened my muscles and scrambled my brain.

The thing is, that when a doctor prescribes the stuff, he does not explain the side effects and that is a problem. My wife investigated the side effects, and some serious problems could occur if my body rejected it.
The course ran for 10 days, and it ended a few days ago. Problem now is that although the bleeding has stopped, the confusion and weakness hasn't yet. But we will see how it goes.

Let me show you some of the views about the short drive that I told you about above.

And finally, this view below was taken back near our home.

It is the new year now, and although it hasn't started very well for us with my condition, I just know that it is going to be a better year than last year. In my mind, last year was one of the worst with regards to my health, but at my age it is expected as this year I will hopefully strike the big 71 years of age. A warning here to the youngsters, beware of pushing and not caring for your body, as all the mistreatments will strike you with revenge when you get older.

On a lighter note, we have some big things planned for Papillon this year and we are praying for the Lord to open the doors. Some meetings will be arranged with government ministers and shopping center boards, as once again Papillon will provide relief to areas nationally that are plagued by malnutrition. But I will tell you more about this when I do a post about it. For now, we hope everyone will be successful in this new year.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

The place is very beautiful, being able to live there would be very pleasant and also peaceful without lots of vehicles passing by.

Anit-biotic bombs are one thing I try avoid at all costs, the side-effects are worse than facing the problem most times. Sorry to hear you ended the old year on a grim note.

(Not to make you feel any better Woody upended me in the passage two days before Christmas coming down onto a passage doorframe.) Shiners to say the least, my own walking decoration, my Doctor will be back on Monday from her leave, then check me over, although mostly almost back to normal, good to check.

Good to hear some exciting planning ahead for Papillon hope doors do open!

Wishing You a successful 2025 in all you do!

Thank you Lady Joan, and I take things day by day.
Wow, not a very good message that Woody upended you, and lucky that you didn't break anything. Yep, a doctor's visit will be advised.

So, I ended the old year bad, and you are starting the new year bad. Co-incidence? I don't think so.

Thank you for the tip. !PIZZA !LOL !LUV

At the moment each is taking one day at a time, nothing we can do except try watch out for ourselves and loved ones. Grateful nothing broke that I know of, healing quite quickly.

Hot months of summer take it easy, stick to the shaded areas wherever possible. Durban has been a nightmare the last two days with heat and humidity, current warnings of flooding extreme rain last night. Lightning and thunder started last night, breaking the heat at least, not pleasant for Woody. Many regions with dry river beds now quick flowing in Namibia, Botswana down through Central/Eastern South Africa.

!LUV to both Yourself and Marian, one day at a time!

Yes, that's the best that one can do, and we are thankful that nothing was broken.
My daughter called me tonight from the UK and she knew all about the weather in KZN as she has a few friends that live there. We saw that there is a level 8 warning out for floods.
At least the rain is breaking the heat and poor Woody, we used to give our little dog "Rescue" drops in his water to calm him during the fireworks and the lightning.
Oh yes, the weather is really upside down inland and all over.

!LUV also to you guys and take care.

Woody has Rescue tablets which I give him in his food when we are aware storms on the way. Raining for next couple of days, hopefully no flooding. Take care and keep positive!

Wow stunning pictures!
I think the doctor didn't do his job very well by not explaining or at least mentioning the possible side effects, I wish you get well soon.

Thank you for the compliment. !LOL
Doctors are very busy nowadays, and he is a great doctor with much experience, so I think that he will sort things out when I see him next week.

Absolutely sublime views Zac!
What a pity you could not make the lunch but your health comes first. I'm so sorry to hear you've not been well and are still dealing with the side effects from the meds!
You're catching up with me, I've already reached the number 71.
We only realize just how important it is to look after our health when it starts playing up!
But like you always say, with a big sigh, I imagine...

such is life!
Take care of yourself!

Thank you Lady Lizzie!
I am seeing the doctor again next week, and I am sure that he will sort things out. In the meantime, Marian is a great nurse. !LOL
Yep, I know that you beat me by 1 year, and getting old is not for sissies. In the mornings when one awakes, we have to feel around in the bed in case something fell off during the night.
Such is elderly life indeed!
You must also take care!
