Sharing some of nature's beauties.

Flowers are not my strong suit, but I love beauty when I see it.

First up, we have one of my favorite plants, The Christ Thorn.

This thorny plant has accompanied us in its pot for many years. Each time when we move house, somebody gets stung by its thorns, but we insist that it comes along. We bought it when it was a tiny little plant, and now lately it seems to like the position where it is in, as it is growing abundantly. A good flower to have below your external front window, as no burglar will walk through that at night. I also have some other flowers here to show you.

I saw the bee come in at the left bottom of the picture.

This is a Sour Fig Succulent flower, but I wanted to show you how hard that bee works.

The bee was, basically, rolling around in the pollen.

Here I have three species of wildflowers. A yellow one, a pink one, and two white ones.

While taking the photos of the Christ Thorn plant, I saw that a new baby bird was born.

I saw the same bug as the one on the bee's flower on this set of flowers below.

I tried to macro a small raindrop on the granadilla bush's tendril.

Finally, here is a larger image of it.

So, yeah, with all the rainy and bad weather around, a person has to take what you can get, photo-wise. The news is, that we will start to have hotter temperatures now, at last, after having so many cold fronts and rain showers during this winter, that it is said that ten-year-old records were broken by the amount of rain that we got. Yes, we had some severe damages created by the winds and the floods, but that happens every year. No way that anyone can control nature, and we just have to suffer through it.
Such is life.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Sometimes it makes for some interesting/moody photos.

The thorny plants is beautiful but I do not like it thorns, it can injured someone if they do not mind the way they touch it, bees can't missed a beautiful flower, look at what it was doing to the pollen, good photos

We love the thorns, as they give a great character to the plant. Bees will never miss a flower.
