Our beautiful nature on a warm Autumn day.

Some nature shows with amazing landscapes for you to enjoy.
237.jpg

This was my first easter without my direct family, as they are all passed away now.

Out in the wide open, we have so many choices where to go and what to do. Thankfully the power cuts were lowered over the easter period, but we saw that this week it will be back again at full force. So, we can prepare for 8 to 10 hours of power cuts per day. Bad management, corruption and closed doors to all external power generating companies, plus a lack of maintenance, are only some of the reasons why we all countrywide now have to suffer with the power cuts.
But I digress and come to see what I have got to show you today.

I love to travel on these leafy lanes.

And upon arrival to be greeted with views like this below.

Such a nice shot of this chicken cleaning itself on a dam wall.

Our sun tried its best to avoid the clouds, but it was not very successful.

The dramatic views of the clouds on the mountain range, always make for great landscapes. This is the Hottentot-Holland Mountain range and the early settlers had to cross these mountains with their ox wagons during 17-1800s. So many times have I sat down to try and figure the best way to go over the mountain with a wagon pulled by 12 or 16 oxen harnessed side by side. One can only applaud the ingenuity and the innovation of the old trekkers. We now have fancy tarred and smooth mountain passes, but in several protected sections one can still see the wheel marks of the old ox wagons.

That lone mountain at the start of the mountain range sits at the northern end and it is known as the Helderberg mountain. Many town suburbs were built on the lower slopes of the mountain and the suburbs contain some really nice modern houses.

Just a final look below and there will be many more to come from my camera.

Down the road is a township with hundreds of shacks where the poor live and I think that it is a similar scenario all over the world. The rich right next to the poor. The poor hoping to become rich and the rich fearing to become poor. Many say that life is what you make of it, but what chances do a child have with a lack of education and living in a poor household. Yes, there are exceptions where some get a lucky break, but in general it is the vast majority of children that suffer.

That's what we focus on at Papillon, quality education for the children.
I also grew up in a poor household where rejection was the norm, but thankfully I have managed to cast off the past and to create a productive life for myself. It continues to this day and will only end the day that I leave this planet. No need to feel sorry for myself either, as I simply go and help others less fortunate than me. It is a sure cure.
So in the meantime, this is life and I use my camera to show you the beauty of it.

I hope that you enjoyed the story and the pictures.

And That's All Friends.

You are an amazing man my friend.
An old friend of mine gave me some money in memory of my sister and asked it be sent to a charity she or I support. Well first one that popped into my head was @papilloncharity, of course ❤️
So I am going to get @thebigsweed on it, he’s smarter than me😁

Always enjoy your posts thanks for sharing

My apologies as we have just opened the PCs now after the latest power cut.
You certainly have a wonderful heart Lady Robin and I think that I told you this before 😊
So great to see that we are in your ❤️

Our old website was 21 years old, so we decided to start a new one and we still have to do a few pages on it, such as history and the gallery page. But we will get there, as time is of the essence here with all of the power cuts. Tomorrow we will have 4 power cuts.

Thank you so much and the transfer is easy, as we have PayPal on our new website 🙏

Thank you also so much for appreciating my posts.

Hey Zak Bob said he sent it out already I am not sure if he used PayPal, but I know he knows how to get it to your foundation.

Much luck and love, as you say… Lady Robin, so cool, thanks

Thank you for the notice milady and yeah, I am sure that Bob will manage.

I am an old school guy and the Lady part of your name is only a decent sign of respect. So sad lately to see that respect and manners are not priorities anymore and they have fallen by the wayside.
Such is the times that we live in.

Blessings, !PIZZA and !LUV

Show off its beauty, you sure do. It's just a shame that the people at the helm of this beautiful paradise are not as beautiful as the landscape.
The picture you paint with your words of despair suffered by so many is heart-wrenching.

Thank you big guy and apart from the charity, nature is my other passion.
I am not as young as you anymore 😉 and it took me 2 hours to prune our little lemon tree, whereas it will take you maybe 2o minutes at most.
We are praying for everyone to take hands and to work together in order to restore this country, as that will be the only way that things can be improved. Miracles still happen and prayer is a great weapon for peace and progress.

But as they say; A luta Continua.

Thank you for your friendship and support 🙏

Neither of us gets around like we used to, but we're still kicking and for that, I'm thankful every day.

I don't know if you have the ability to find this song and play it, but if you do it speaks so much truth. The name of the song is **NEED A FAVOUR **the group that sings the song is JELLY ROLL

Your unwavering dedication to your cause is inspiring. Behind every good man is a better woman, boy did we both get lucky?

Oh yeah and right, gratefulness is an essential part of life and as long as we are still kicking, life goes on.

If you recommend it, then it must be good and I will YouTube the song for sure.

I live a simple life Bob and my view is that passion and dedication are cousins. If the passion is there, then dedication also wants to come to the party, as they dance well together.
Oh yeah, we certainly got lucky with our ladies and like you, I will not be able to live well without mine.
They are two blessings.

It seems from your posts that there is beauty all around, wherever you are, my good man. Deep thoughts and feelings too.

The poor hoping to become rich and the rich fearing to become poor.

This Easter must have been a bit difficult for you. I hope you took some delight in the day.

Thank you and I am in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

We cannot cling to the past, as then it will take the power out of the future, so the best is to live in the now, day by day. This is my way of coping with the shadows in my memories.
Easter was a reminder that as long as I live, I have a purpose and that is to serve.

Nothing is more beautiful than nature. you can create buildings and other things for human attraction, but you can't complete with nature.

Absolutely true as human efforts hold no candle compared to nature's natural beauty.
