Kindness costs nothing.

In this case, some "pedestrians" wanted to cross on a busy road.

Automatically, I switched our car's emergency (hazards) lights on, and I waved an oncoming car to a stop.

We hate to see roadkill, and we will do anything to stop it. Squirrels and birds by the hundreds are killed every week, and I know that at times it cannot be avoided, but at other times people would drive deliberately over them. I just cannot understand why they would do this, but I am sure that they will have their reasons why. This mom and her 7 babies were fortunate as we allowed them to cross the road safely.
Now come and look at some cuteness.

This below was when I saw them, and they are Egyptian Geese. I knew that the mom was going to cross the road.

And here the cuteness started :)
The two strong chicks in the lead popped up easily onto the sidewalk.

Then another one after a few jumps, also managed to get up.

And here we had a problem, as the last 3 were the weaker ones.

Then this one jumped high enough to hook a foot and it dragged its body up.

Mommie! the little one shouted, come and help my little sisters.

Sadly, a long line of cars was building up behind us, and I heard some hooters. Also, on the oncoming side of the road, people were getting impatient, so we had to move. At least we helped them to cross the road safely and I am happy that we could do that. As we drove off, we saw the last two also making it up onto the sidewalk. By grace the oncoming car in the opposite lane also stopped, and I waved my thanks to him as our cars passed. He also had a long line of cars behind him, and just maybe some motorists also learned something from this, as we saw some of them taking photos of the chicks with their phones.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

No, I am not great, as I only did what was necessary. I think that you would do the same in the situation.
But thank you for the kind compliment, and may you also be always healthy.

Thank you and kindness makes our world to turn around. Like I said elsewhere, I only did what I had to do, and my hopes for the post was achieved, as I wanted it to sow the seeds of kindness on hive. If everyone could only do one deed of kindness every day, then this world become a better place to live for all.

Thank you for the kind comment Sir Uwe, and as TSU veterans, you and I know how to go all the way. However, that's history, and now this hive story is a new ball game.
I am also happy that you are still here.
