At the end of a day.

An old decrepit leaf, shown in a sunset.

At the end of the day, another new day will emerge, and it's always what we do with the new days that matters.

As usual I was standing outside having a look at the sunset, and my wife came to show me an interesting leaf that she found below our lemon tree. It is amazing to see the old skeleton of a leaf, and I decided to show it to you here. My wife is a very artistic soul, and she is forever fiddling around in the garden. But she loves to do things like that, and that makes me happy, as it keeps her out of my hair:))

Just look at this, a perfect skeleton of a leaf.

The madam decided to show you the stages of a lemon tree leaf life cycle. Fresh at the left, and old like me at the right.

And now, let's have a look at the sunset.

This one below looks like a big bird behind the tree.

Finally, the day was done.

We have a friend that was diagnosed with cancer, and he had a chemotherapy treatment that put the cancer into remission. Then he decided to use every minute of every day to do something good for others. He realized the importance of time in his life, and the value of helping the poor. We are all time wasters, chasing after the wind of riches and self-importance, until the time in our road becomes endangered, by a serious illness or an accident. But it need not be so, if we would realize the value of time. Time is freely given to us to look after ourselves, and to look after all others, but that is not at all like the world of today. May we get the best out of our leaves, may they provide nourishment and shade to others, and may their substance be substantial!
Take care and live for others.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Quite interesting to see the leaf in this state, for a moment I almost thought it was the wing of some insect!

Yeah, I was also surprised at the beauty of the leaf. I get you, as yes, it is comparable to an insect's wing.

I love to shoot such decomposed leaves too. A great subject for macro.

The leaf against the sky reminds me of some art someone here on Hive did. They carved little pictures into leaves and held them up like that, and made the pictures into NFT's. Nature made an amazing carving in that one :)

The photograph of the dead leaf and the light passing through what was once its tissues, is really beautiful, it is artistic as your wife says.

Thank you @papilloncharity for sharing your beautiful photographs and the story of your friend as a reflection that we should enjoy and be grateful for everything we find on our way.

Greetings

Sorry JJ, we are a bit busy this side. Now also have a small school for disabled children to support.

I am glad that you loved the leaf shot, and the sunset my friend.

Health here is holding up, and glad that you are now over the worst, and our kind regards to Lulu.

Lately I also try to do things as quick as I can, and it's not a good thing. Good that you are getting back up to speed again.

When I go to the villages for photography, I also get to see many of the same special and unique things.
