African wet and wild weather today.
At least in the Western Cape Province of South Arica, that is famous for its instant weather changes.
So many changes in the weather today, driven by the strong winds, that it makes one's head spin.
I thought to go out and to try to show you some photos about the beauty of the day. We are thankful for the water and I like the wind as I see it as a friend. Some trees were uprooted last night and that is just the nature of the wind. I don't know if any house roofs were ripped off, but I am sure that we will hear about it later. For now we are in this storm, and you can imagine how unfamiliar it was to us when we arrived here 4 years ago.
But now we have grown used to it, and it offers some great times to get out there with a camera.
Come and see.
The same situation as the photo above only a short while later.
Yep, I got wet four times today, but I was determined to make the best of my photography adventure.
Did I tell you that the rain fell intermittently, but the Malachite sunbird didn't mind and neither did I.
The Pied crow didn't mind either, as we all have accepted the quick changes as a normal part of life.
So many times when I take photos at the ocean about the quick changes in the weather, and the high velocity winds, I wonder how the sail's ships of old battled against these storms. So the Cape of Storms lives up to its nickname and the storms show nature's power so efficiently.
It was great to be out at this time with nary a soul in sight, and it is a time of wonder walking around with the camera in hand.
I hope you have enjoyed this short journey with me and all of the best to everybody for the rest of the week.
And That's All Friends.
