A short sun break, and we headed to the sea.

Always something going on at the old jetty.

Never smooth talk a lady while her husband is around :) Check how the husband landed to destroy the suitor's dreams, while the wife "innocently" looks on.

The first cold front slowly departed after some major damages and the new cold front in the series landed on Tuesday. 1000 township shacks were wrecked, and 4000 people are now homeless. The schools also opened on Tuesday, even though 29 schools were damaged by the first cold front. So, let's see what more damages will be created. The wind is icy cold and Sutherland in the province is at -9 to 4 degrees Celsius.
But I digress, and let's see what I got at the beach today.

This photo below aggravated me, as I could not see what the gull caught. It might be a flying fish, but we don't have them here, as they are up in the Mozambique channel.

Looks like it had two back legs, but I have never seen something like this before.

The gull caught another one, and this time it had wings?
But it was not a small bird, as they don't swim in the sea.

It had a long tail.

I got this gull flying in over the jetty, and in the photo below this one, the gull was looking for a landing space.

This below was the view of the old jetty upon our arrival, but sadly things slowly started to get darker.

Then it was time to head for home, and you can see that it started to rain on the road back.

The Cape of Storms is at its best at this time of the year. It seems like every year the damages get worse, and the talk is that right now the damages have doubled up. So, lately we seem to have increases in everything, weather disasters, crime disasters, health disasters, and I can go and on. Life is changing before our eyes, and the Covid years have sown anxiety into many souls. Sadly, it has also doubled greed, as most everyone is out to increase incomes to cover the losses that occurred during the Covid lockdown years. In the meantime, the storm damages only serve to worsen matters, and lately it seems that there are no outcomes.
But there is also good news that abounds in all of these negativities, as South Africans are known to be a resilient people, and so many are ignoring their own dire circumstances to help others. We live by the saying that if you have two jackets, then give one to a person with no jacket.
Such is life.

I hope that you have enjoyed our sun break at the sea.

Seagulls have excellent intelligence, it's a pity that they use it to the detriment of others. Bandits! Still, what did that seagull catch?

Oh yeah, I know your feelings about seagulls, as we have discussed it before. I still don't know what the seagull caught, and maybe I will never know, but it doesn't trouble me.
