A quick cloud storm.

The birds know how to flee to safety in the strong winds.

We wish you all a happy Friday and a great weekend.

I have told you many times that we live in the Cape of Storms. One moment it is blue sky, but strong wind gusts can change the views in a matter of minutes. Many ships have been sunk here by the sudden strong wind gusts that whip the waves high. And now with the moon bringing the spring tides in the ocean, I will not go near a boat, or even the beach for that matter, as the sand blowing in the wind feels like it wants to take one's face off with a thousand stings by the racing sand pebbles.

Dark and angry, but no rain. Just a howling wind that leads the trees into wild dances.

I watched the 6 sea gulls in the tag picture on their way over towards the mountains, and I bet that on the other side of the mountains, the sky was clear.

Finally the gulls disappeared in the distance.

Then the wind started to slack off.

You can see the sky starting to clear at the left of the picture below.

Almost an hour, and then it was all over.

We moved down here from the far north of the country where we never had winds like we do here, just normal thunderstorms with no strong wind gusts. We are now close to the Atlantic Ocean, and things can get wild here as the icy winds coming in across the sea can create havoc. It took some getting used to, but it still, at times, catches us by surprise. Even experienced fishermen, in their boats, are at times sunken by unexpected wind gusts. One doesn't want to be in a boat many miles out at sea when something like this comes along.
Such is life here in paradise.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Best regards also to you.
