A misty morning and a beautiful evening.

A misty morning like this is a sign of a very hot day and some lovely evening sights.
124 (2).jpg

Some lovely, relaxing shots especially to calm your Sunday.

South Africa is a beautiful big country with a wide variety of fantastic nature views. We are lucky to live at the extreme southern tip of the African continent. In fact, we live in the Western Cape Province near the coast where the two oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian oceans meet.
You can see more about the diverse nature at the link below.

The wildlife of South Africa consists of the flora and fauna of this country in southern Africa. The country has a range of different habitat types and an ecologically rich and diverse wildlife, vascular plants being particularly abundant, many of them endemic to the country. There are few forested areas, much savanna grassland, semi-arid Karoo vegetation and the fynbos of the Cape Floristic Region. Famed for its national parks and big game, 297 species of mammal have been recorded in South Africa, as well as 849 species of bird and over 20,000 species of vascular plants.

121.JPG

Gradually the sun started to clear the mist away.
118.JPG

A lovely sight to see how the sun ever so slowly broke through the clouds to stake its claim.
122.JPG

Soon the heat started, and it is always best to avoid the dangerous UV rays of the sun.
126.JPG

Now let's have a look at the evening.

Strong winds were blowing, and I have to say that we were thankful for the winds as they helped to alleviate the heat during the day. We are booked for two hot weeks ahead with temperatures in the upper 30Cs, so as I said before, one has to careful of the blazing African sun.
It is alleged that February is our hottest month, and we are not even close to it yet.

I have 4 photos below taken towards the west (ocean) side of our house.
166.JPG

193.JPG

186.JPG

You can see that the streetlamps were turned on at the bottom of this photo below.
158.JPG

And later in the evening.

I took the photos later towards the East side where the moon rises.
203.JPG

211.JPG

201.JPG

Unfortunately for the umptieth time, the clouds hid the moon and I could not get a clear moon shot. The past 4 full moons was hidden from my camera by the clouds.

But of course, I cannot complain, as I have posted many clear shots of the moon over time here on Hive, and we are now in the cloudy season, so it is expected that the moon will be covered. But one can always attempt to get some arty shots of the moon and the clouds.

214.JPG

So yes, the African and South American continents are expected to be the worst affected by the global warming issue and I think that it has already started due to all of the devastating droughts and floods in our country.
Be that as it may, I always search for the beauty in bad situations, as to me it means that all is not lost. Mother nature has lost her patience and she is warning us to change our littering and destructive ways.
Sadly, I doubt that we will change our ways, as profit and comfort rule so many lives. Why take an old mattress to the dumping grounds, if one can simply dump it in a river close by?
Just a small example.

And That's All Friends.

Weather has been a little upside down of late, always beauty within. Saw the full moon around midnight clear for the first time in many months, did not photograph as was heading for bed !LOLZ

Upside down all over the place. I got the moon clear, but still have to download it from my camera.
Not much time with the power cuts, as already had 2 thus far. Next one is at 6pm.

Hope that your Sunday is good.

Oh yes, at 8am we are already tired. I was diagnosed recently with a critical iron deficiency and it saps my energy. The heat doesn't improve matters.
Another hot day !LOLZ

Try take iron in through food preferable to tablets, stay indoors from 10 to 2 heat alert now out over most the country.

Many are feeling lack luster with negative attitude toward doing anything about the condition the country is in.

I am critically low and unfortunately iron only builds back up over very long periods.
So I have to take 4 Ferratin capsules every day. 2 in the morning and 2 at night.
We also have a list of the top 10 iron foods that one can eat, and yes, it is a real mission.

The problem is that 3 of the pills in my daily regimen are not iron friendly and I think that they are responsible for my critical status. Another problem is that I absolutely have to take them every day, to prevent a stroke.
Not an easy life.

Deficiency or build up with iron, both difficult to deal with. Clashing medications a nightmare Doctors will have to sort out.

Enjoy the day hopefully cooler down your way, scorching hot feels like 34C outdoors now for last two day, only down to 23C at night not fun with so many blackouts, they drove the gravy train at a grand scale, did they not?

No can do, as the advice is that I absolutely have to take the tablets every day, so I just have to grin and bear it for now, until we see the results of the impending scan.

Prepare for more heat as I don't see any storm clouds headed your way over here. There is a heatwave in the Karoo right up to Upington and tomorrow some places will be in the early 40 degrees.
We now have 4 black outs per day. How many do you have?

It is that gravy train that needs to be derailed pronto.

Hope you find away with the medication, should make you feel better not worse. Stay out of the heat of the day only move early morning or late afternoons.

Heat is excessive at the moment, completely out of my comfort zone. My late brother lived in Aggeneys for 5 years before BBEEE retrenchment took place (I followed same fate a couple of years later), then moved up the road from me. Always said the Durban heat may be lower but always felt far worse than inland 40C.

Durban in our region 2 black outs per day, every time they switch off power the pump stations break (not fixed properly in first place, never maintained) shit still pouring out all over the place.

Even though our Municipality is DA they are answerable to the Provincial ANC who turn a blind eye and deaf ear, change is long overdue.

They only give pills to combat the side effects of the other pills and the new pills come with side effects of their own.

With my low iron levels, even 30C drains my energy. We watch our weather gauges every day and when they sing the song of the low 20C's, then we sing with them !LOLZ
Sad to hear about the retrenchments, but now your brother is in a better place, as he doesn't have to worry anymore, and you have survived. Did you go on your own in another venture afterwards?
I went out on my own about 35 years ago, (thankfully never retrenched), but sick of bosses.

Lucky you, as 4 black outs here and it's not much fun. Apparently, a friend up in Joburg has 8 hours of black outs every day now.
Yeah, the black outs are playing havoc with pumps and batteries all over the show.

Hahaha, where will you find a Provincial ANC working with the DA, I want to go and live there.

Side effects from all tablets, very perturbing that medical insurance pump certain pharmaceutical companies, dispensary will dish out similar to prescription, I am super wary of all!

Glad my brother never had to live through these last three years! I have potted around with a couple of ideas, joined ladies in business groups till the day I almost got hijacked leaving Durban, then only online since 2012.

My sister is in Jo'burg they really battling with extended black outs, going from floods into a heatwave, non stop problems with companies closing down one by one!

A continual roundabout in the big pharma industry. Billions of profits declared to its shareholders, as sick nations consume their products. Similar to other entities, they have a captive market and they forever keep bleeding funds from them.

Yes, my sister and her husband also left this planet last year, and I am glad that they don't have to suffer anymore. I don't know about your attempted hi-jacking and I am glad that were not harmed. Online is so much safer, but it cannot work for us, as our work requires face to face communications. Besides, the poor are not online.

Things are bad in Joburg and it was for the greater good that we left there. Marian's parents and now her siter with her family also live up there, but things are tough.

The pharma industry will try every trick in the book to keep clawing their way into lives.

Locally we have been requested not to assist rather to donate through groups where they know where/what truly destitute require. After 2010 soccer, busing drug addicts into our area from city this became a big problem for the elderly in old age homes or private homes.

Special arrangements have been made for those in need through a variety of places, younger hands have taken over organizing and deliveries due to older folk becoming targets.

Never regretted our move out of Jo'burg, still wish to make a move to quieter region as mentioned before, perhaps one day it will happen.

You have that right and it should be all of these profit mongers that should be slapped with higher taxes to protect the poor and the middle classes.

Same thing over here, although not many know about Papillon yet. In the 4 years that we are here now, we see two white couples working two sets of traffic lights, pleading boards around the neck and empty paper cups in hand. We were told that they are not interested in work of any kind offered to them and they would rather stand in the blistering heat, the whole day until early evening plying their begging trade.
I absolutely hate those that rob the old people, but as usual, Karma will get them.

We hope that your dream will come true.

This government could have gone in the right direction, never did now run by mafia with cohorts robbing everything they can.

Prefer to assist people through channels that know what is needed and go out in groups for protection, normally one or two will be armed to keep safety at a premium.

Never go shopping without my flick blade in my pocket, I would rather go out fighting this scum.

I need a case of !BEER later after the hot spell we going through! Black out all afternoon yippee more theft with an increases, rub salt in the wound!

Cadre deployment has never worked, over here and also worldwide. Let the experts do the work on merit, regardless of race or creed. The only problem is that then no one can steal.

That is indeed the best way to go about it.

I saw a media article a while ago where a 40 year old women beat a prospective thief senseless !LOLZ

Hahaha, I hope that you get that case of !BEER and we had 4,5 hours this morning, 2.5 hours now (I am on the inverter) and again tonight 8pm-12:30pm.

Beautiful morning and awesome evening colours 😀
I prefer it when the moon is somehow hidden or almost hidden behind clouds - the big ball alone is kind of boring when alone in the sky 🌕

Mother Nature is the most patient "person" I know and I do wonder how long this patience will last before her warnings become real threats.

Thank you Hannes and it was great to get the sights on camera.
That big ball doesn't look so boring if one and at least get some color on it 😉
I took this shot on the day after the full moon (Saturday).

You can see the top left of the moon starting to decrease the size of the ball.

Mother nature is already now starting to show her anger at the treatment of mankind, all over the world my friend.

Cheers and thanks.

You're right and I would love to have a moonwalk one day, but in images I like it more with something nearby that shows how big that thing is or that tells somehow a story.
It always amazes me how you take such pretty sharp shots withour a tripod.

I'm curious how far Mother Nature will go this time ... new ice age or flood?

Yep, if that red ball is behind a mountain peak, or a high tower it always looks so beautiful.
The only way that you are going to have a moonwalk one day, will be if you have a million to spare.
I only shake sometimes, as I normally have very steady hands my friend 😉

Don't even want to think about it, as so many lives could be lost. A sudden huge earthquake can swallow a whole city 😲

Cheers and thanks.

I completely agree 👍

If the Hive moons I'll fly to the moon 🌝 !LOLZ

Maybe that's why Mother Nature is struggling hitting us harder, because so many innocent lives would be lost.

The only way that they will listen is when it starts to happen in their own areas.

They were given enough warnings and the sad thing is that now the innocents have to suffer as usual.

Cheers and thanks.

Maybe we can send a cow up there, as then they can milk it and make their own cheese. They wouldn't have to worry about goat milk, as the mountain goat will already be up there. The mountain goat will just have to find one of the man on the moon's own daughters in order to make goat cheese 😜 !LOLZ

Needn't be if there are enough souls to fight for them.

Cheers and thanks.

Haha, yes - it would be the cow on the moon and everyone would love the moon cheese but the moon goat cheese would be the icing on the cake 😋 !LOLZ
