FULL VERSION ESPAรOL

ย Special greetings to all Otakus who give life to #TheAnimeRealm Community, I wish you all a happy weekend. Today I want to provide you with my opinion about an Anime/Manga that I liked, it is about Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
ย This is for me, one of the anime that generated me more frustration at the time, because after two seasons, CLAMP decided to cancel the series and only finish the story in the Manga. In this post, I'll tell you what I liked and didn't like about this animation.
ย But first I should tell you a little bit about what the plot itself is about. Well, this could be said to be an alternate universe where again, our favorite characters from Sakura Card Captors appear in a desert world where Sakura is the princess of the Clow Kingdom, Syaoran is an archaeologist, and commoner in love with the princess.
ย And well, if you are a fan of Sakura Card Captors as I am, you will notice several characters from this series incorporated in turn in this universe created by CLAMP in an extraordinary way and where he grouped a lot of protagonists of their various series.
ย But as main characters we have the princess Sakura, the young Syaoran, the warrior Kurogane and the mysterious wizard Fye. These four characters intertwine fates in an unexpected but necessary way and all end up in the world of the Dimensional Witch Yuko.
ย And well the series itself is about travel between dimensions. Syaoran seeks to recover the "memories" or the "heart" of the princess that was fragmented into feathers and scattered in different worlds. Kurogane wants to become stronger and in turn return to his world to live with Princess Tomoyo. For his part, Fye is a magician who imprisoned a king named Ashura and does not wish to return to his world.
ย For this reason Yuko brings them together and commissions them to travel together until each one gets his wish. And this is where it all begins. They travel from world to world recovering the feathers of Sakura, who this time becomes the daughter of the Wizard Clow and has the power to transcend in time with her memories.
ย And this is one of the many things I didn't understand about the series, Sakura is powerful but at the same time super fragile, here they give more weight in protagonism to Syaoran and well between each trip things happen that no one expects. The series for me had potential, but when it reached a certain point it became very bizarre.
ย There was also a lot of criticism that the anime deviated so much from the manga. It had a lot of filler chapters and yes, I admit it started cute and a bit childish for my taste, but then it became dark and very serious which I loved. The series was supposed to be for adults but because Syaoran and Sakura were the main characters and it had a lot of similarities with Sakura Card Captors they left it to be enjoyed in Japan in a children's or family schedule.
ย Besides, trying to explain the interdimensional travel and Sakura's powers, many people lost track of what was going on. I think CLAMP was too ambitious and instead of gaining fans, they lost them and the series went into decline. They didn't generate the expected profits and canceled the anime.
ย I was very happy to see an alternate history of Sakura and Syaoran when they were older and when I found out that the series would be canceled I was forced to finish the story in the manga. This became very confusing and bizarre to me, there were many things I didn't understand, like for example there were two Syaoran* and two Sakura, who was who, when did they switch and why?
ย All in all, I watched this series with its movie and OVAS included about 5 times, and to this day I still like it but I don't love it because I still have many doubts that were not clarified. You could say that it is a frustrating story and it was left in oblivion. The truth is that I would have loved it if they finished it in its anime version.
ย And well here you find characters from different CLAMP stories like Chobits, XXX Holic, Sakura Card Captors and many more. My favorite part is still the Tokyo Revelations OVA. I give it ๐๐๐๐ of 5 Gold Stars for not ending up in the anime.

I didn't know about the existence of this anime and your post caught my attention because I immediately recognized Sakura from Shakura Card Captor, but with an adapted image and since I didn't watch the anime, I thought it was a continuation.
I see that this must be another case where producers try to exploit an idea for the sale of merchandising and others of an anime, I think the case that I have known more is Saint Seiya and if that is frustrating because it seems that they will never finish that story and at least the anime that you did review, has an end in the manga.
Anyway, excellent review and I would like to know if the manga is extensive in chapters.
The manga is complete. Many fans prefer the manga to the anime, I'm more a fan of the anime as such.
The manga is made up of 28 volumes, started in 2003 and ended in 2009. The anime started in 2005 and ended in 2006. There are only two seasons and a total of 52 episodes, then there is a movie called Tsubasa Chronicle: Princess of the Caged Kingdom and then two OVAS which are Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations 3 episodes, and Tsubasa: Shunraiki two episodes.
The ending is in the manga itself and ends up very confusing because they try to explain interdimensional travel and what causes different actions. Besides that Sakura and Syaoran have a son, in the end, I could not distinguish who is the father and who is the son hahaha. It gets to a point where it's confusing.
But the series has very good things, there are quite deep sentences and thoughts about life and time that I liked a lot, besides about love itself. Typical of the CLAMP style and well the plus is the variety of characters that appear from other CLAMP series included here. It's very good, on the My Anime List webpage it has a score of 7.51.
oh man, I think I'm going to watch it again to remember good times lol.
The manga is good, it explains with a little more detail all that confusion, although you get lost with the plot and that's why it wasn't so successful, even so I have some affection for this anime. I would have loved if they had given continuity to the animated story.
