Hello movie fans from #MoviesAndTVShows Yesterday I watched this film called Promising Young Woman (recommended by one of you a few months ago). I apologize for not remembering the author of that post, it was pretty good and thanks to his opinion was that I decided to watch the movie when I had time and desire.

  As always, I like to inform my readers if my publication contains Spoilers or not, and in this case, I can assure you that it does not. I only comment on my opinion and at the end I indicate the score I gave it and my recommendation or not of it. So without anything else to add, I begin.

  The movie was released in 2020, was filmed in the UK, and has a running time of 113 minutes which equals almost 2 hours of film. It is classified in the drama genre with touches of black humor, crime, and above all Vengeance. You can watch it on the Netflix platform.

  But what is the story itself about? Is it another typical police investigation story? Not really. The film is about a girl who has been quite affected by the death of her best friend who in her youth was raped by a group of students at her school and this girl, the protagonist of the film, seeks revenge for what was done to her friend. But revenge how? To whom? and how her best friend died. As I told you I don't make Spoiler and such questions you can answer yourself if you watch the film.

𝙼𝚢 𝙾𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙵𝚒𝚕𝚖

  The movie when it started made me wonder, what's up, why does it start like that? I mean, it got me hooked, because of the music and the way the story was presented at the beginning, it reminded me a little bit of the film Nocturnal Animals. And I said ok, let's keep watching it and see how it goes. I don't usually like those strange intros, but there's something about them that catches you or hypnotizes you hahaha.

  I was completely blown away after watching it and it made me question myself as to why it had taken me so long to watch it. It was quite good. Although I am usually picky and demanding to see a movie, I usually take into account the actors who work in it, in this case, I didn't know the actress. Carey Mulligan.

  And then I find out (putting this post together) that he worked in another movie I saw at the beginning of the year called Maestro (another great movie by the way) and Saltburn (which I have on my list of pending movies), well I mean, I'm already a fan and follower after seeing such a great performance in Promising Young Woman.

  And this movie I am writing about today is the kind of movie where the actor shows so much personality playing his character, that is to say, you can see the connection he has with the role he is playing and he adds his personal touches. Well like that. For me, this woman deserved an Oscar for her role here.

  I was delighted with her work, it made a big impact on me and even made me imagine what she would be like playing Harley Quinn on the big screen, I think she would do as good an interpretation of her as Ledger did with the Joker.

  Her interpretation and character made me feel identified, not because of the Crazy but because she did everything she wanted without caring absolutely anything about what others believed or said about her. She showed a self-confidence that I admire and for me, she is a heroine. One of those that the world never finds out about but she goes around dispensing justice in her way? Well like that.

𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚂𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚎 & 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗

  I particularly liked the movie not only because of the performance of the actress Carey Mulligan, but other aspects influenced my taste which are the development of the plot, the costumes, the music, the scenery and the other characters that appear in it, all as a team and especially the director of the film did an impeccable and fabulous job. It has many details to take into account, but most of all the direction and production that gave the film a very special touch Emerald Fennell.

  Buenas buenas gente fanática del cine de #MoviesAndTVShows Ayer me vi este film que se titula Hermosa Venganza (recomendado por uno de ustedes hace unos meses atrás). Me disculpo por no recordar el autor de aquel post, fue bastante bueno y gracias a su opinión fue que decidí ver la película cuando tuviera tiempo y ganas.

  Como siempre, me gusta informar a mis lectores de si mi publicación contiene o no Spoilers y en este caso, pues les puedo asegurar que no los tiene. Sólo comento mi opinión y al final les indico la puntuación que le di y mi recomendacion o no de la misma. Así que sin nada más que agregar, empiezo.

  La película fue estrenada en el 2020, se grabó en el Reino Unido y tiene una duración de 113 minutos lo que equivale casi a 2 horas de película. Se clasifica en el género dramático con toques de humor negro, crímen y sobre todo de Venganza. Puedes verla en la plataforma de Netflix.

  Pero ¿De qué va la historia en sí? ¿es otro típico relato de investigación policiaca? Pues la verdad no. La película trata de una chica que se ha visto bastante afectada por la muerte de su mejor amiga quien en su juventud fue violada por un grupo de estudiantes en su escuela y ésta chica, la protagonista del film, busca Venganza por lo que le hicieron a su amiga. ¿Pero venganza cómo? ¿A quién? ¿y cómo murió su mejor amiga? Como ya te dije no hago Spoiler y tales preguntas te las contestas tu mismo si ves el film.

𝙼𝚒 𝙾𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚒ó𝚗 𝚂𝚘𝚋𝚛𝚎 𝚎𝚕 𝙵𝚒𝚕𝚖

  La película cuando empezaba me hizo preguntarme ¿qué onda, por qué empieza así? O sea, de una me enganchó, por la música y cómo presentaron la historia al inicio me recordó un poco al film de Animales Nocturnos. Y dije ok, vamos a seguirla viendo a ver qué tal. Esos intros extraños no suelen gustarme mucho pero igual algo tienen que atrapan o hipnotizan jajaja.

  Yo después de verla quedé impactada por completo y me hizo cuestionarme personalmente de ¿por qué había tardado tanto para verla? Fue realmente bastante buena. Y es que aunque suelo ser quisquillosa y exigente para ver una película, normalmente tomo en cuenta los actores que trabajan en ella, en este caso no conocía a la actriz Carey Mulligan.

  Y luego me entero (armando este post) que trabajó en otra película que vi empezando el año llamada Maestro (otro peliculazo por cierto) y Saltburn (que la tengo en mi lista de pelis pendientes), bueno o sea, ya soy su fan y seguidora después de ver semejante actuación en Hermosa Venganza.

  Y es que ésta película de la cual les escribo hoy es de ese tipo donde el actor plasma tanta personalidad interpretando su personaje, es decir, se le nota esa conexión que alcanza tener con el papel que interpreta y aparte le agrega sus toques personales? bueno así. Esta mujer para mí se merecía un Oscar por su papel aquí.

  Yo quedé encantanda con su trabajo, causó un gran impacto en mi y hasta de hecho me hizo imaginarla cómo sería ella interpretando a Harley Quinn en la gran pantalla, mira yo creo que haría una interpretación tan buena de ella como la que hizo Ledger con el Guasón.

  Su interpretación y personaje me hizo sentirme identificada, no por lo Crazy sino porque hacía todo lo que quería sin importarle absoluamente nada de lo que creyeran o dijeran los demás de ella. Demostraba una seguridad en si misma que admiro y para mí es una heroina. De esas que el mundo nunca se entera pero que van por allí impartiendo justicia a su manera? Bueno así.

𝙿𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚌𝚒ó𝚗 𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕 & 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚌𝚒ó𝚗

  A mí particularmente la película me gustó bastante pero no sólo por la actuación de la actriz Carey Mulligan, hubo otros aspectos que influyeron en mi gusto que son el desarrollo de la trama, el vestuario, la música, la escenografía y los demás personajes que aparecen en ella, todos como equipo y sobre todo la directora de la película hicieron un trabajo impecable y fabuloso. Tiene muchos detalles que tomar en cuenta, pero más que todo la dirección y producción que le dió Emerald Fennell.

  Como dato curioso y plus, antes de culminar dando mi puntuación del film, quiero dejarles ésta ficha técnica para que vean que los críticos expertos valoraron con méritos ésta película:
