Ways of maintaining a clean environment....10/09/2024
As a student, I prioritise maintaining a clean environment because it has a direct impact on my well-being and productivity. One of the most basic ways I contribute is to properly dispose of my waste, whether it is paper, plastic, or leftover food. I always utilise designated garbage cans and recycling containers whenever possible, and if I can't locate one nearby, I carry the trash with me till I do.
I also strive to reduce trash by reusing water bottles, notebooks, and bags. Instead of purchasing throwaway plastic bottles, I carry reusable ones, which reduces plastic waste and keeps my environment clean. I've also established the practice of being conscious of how much I print.
Printing just when necessary reduces paper waste and keeps my workstation organised. When I'm at school or on campus, I make a point of picking up any garbage I come across. It requires little work, yet it helps to a cleaner and healthier environment for all. I also encourage my friends to do the same.
Finally, engaging in clean-up initiatives, whether organised by the school or the community, is an excellent opportunity for me to help make the environment a cleaner place. It's a rewarding way to give back, be active, and support a clean environment.
