My beloved dismissal!
The past year was a good year, no worse or better than others but beautiful and, I must admit, that today I have enjoyed all the years of my life, I'm a lucky person!
Many good things have happened but, if I have to choose which was the best, I don't hesitate to say that it was leaving my job, or rather, losing my job, as my contract has expired and has not been renewed; I can therefore say that it is something that happened, without being foreseen and in an unexpected way but which changed my life for the better.
During the period in which I didn't work, I took unemployment benefit which was due to me for my previous three years of work and which I will receive for another nine months (I hope to give birth to some brilliant ideas in this time heh heh!); not being a high figure such as we talk about with my wife we had to reinvent ourselves and this was one of the positive aspects of the situation; we returned to simplicity, I had more time to devote to my family and my passions and this allowed me to get closer to Hive; I had already started to get to know this fantastic world but I hadn't actually entered it due to time limits, once I found myself with whole days available, I decided to start this new adventure.
I confess that I was conflicted, initially as the most beautiful things I really wanted to write about my meeting with Hive but then, thinking about it, none of this would have happened if it weren't for that non-renewed contract and this is the reason that led me to choose it as the best event.
Furthermore, I like to think that it can also be a message of hope, in life everything happens for a reason and each of us has a plan; even bad situations can lead to good, sometimes we simply can't see the whole picture right away but then, little by little, everything reveals itself to our eyes.
As for all people, even for me, the years are made of good and beautiful things and I could also mention here something that can be defined as "the worst thing that happened to me in 2022", but I believe that life is made of perspectives and that everything depends on the eyes with which we look at everything therefore, this time, I decide to talk only about the good things and to think that the bad things that happened were necessary to appreciate the best that came after and will come in the future.
If I think back to all the time I was able to spend at home with my wife and my beloved pets; the possibilities that opened up before me; to all the things I've read, studied and learned in recent months and, above all, you have plans and goals that I've set for myself since the day of my layoff onwards, I can only define that as the best thing that happened to me.
Obviously, as a Marvel Comics poet recites "with great powers come great responsibilities" therefore, it's up to me, not to frustrate that event and make this current situation of mine permanent and I know that I will make it because I will put all of myself into it and because in life you have to know how to follow your dreams!

Heh heh I'm studying it by myself but I never spoke English, I only studied a few years in elementary school... on the other hand I speak French well 😁
For someone who's never spoken, your written English is quite good. I was thought french in elementary school as well, but I never got good at it. I prefer Spanish and was learning on Duolingo earlier. But I've not been so serious as of late.
