I started making the traditional sketch, taking the original character as the only reference. The truth, I don't know if they are mermaids or what creature they are exactly, but or what I can perceive at first sight of the original drawing, it seems to me that it is a kind of mermaid or triton spy, so I made her body inspired by a mermaid and the more details, then those that we can find and see in the original illustration.

Comencé haciendo el boceto el tradicional, tomando como única referencia al personaje original. La verdad, no se si son sirenas o que criatura sean exactamente, pero o lo que yo puedo llegar a percibir a primera vista del dibujo original, se me hace que es una especie de sirena o tritón espía, así que su cuerpo lo hice inspirado en un sirena y los de mas detalles, pues los que podemos encontrar y ver en la ilustración original.

After I have the sketch done, what I do next is to take a picture and transfer it to Clip Studio Paint. I start adding the color, adding a base color which for that I used a pale yellow, almost like a mustard yellow and after that, I went to add all the base colors for each area of the drawing.

Luego que tengo el boceto hecho, lo que hago después es tomar una foto y pasarla al Clip Studio Paint. Comienzo a agregar el color, agregando un color base que para ello use un amarillo pálido, casi como un amarillo mostaza y después de eso, me fui a agregar todos los colores base para cada zona del dibujo.

I start detailing everything, adding first the shadows and then the lights. As I was watching some videos and workshops on how to make and detail characters in chibi style, what I have learned from some of them is not to detail so much the illustration, since it is not so necessary, so for this drawing I tried not to detail so much and the result was very good.

Comienzo a detallar todo, agregando primeramente las sombras y luego las luces. Como estuve viendo algunos vídeos y talleres de como hacer y detallar personajes en estilo chibi, lo que he aprendido de algunos de ellos es no detallar tanto dicha ilustración, ya que no es tan necesario, así que para este dibujo intente no detallar tanto y resultado quedo muy bien.

The last thing I do in the drawing, is to add a few final details, which basically is to add some texture to the character with different brushes and I also did what was the background, adding a base color and some stars and that's it folks, that would be all.

Lo ultimo que hago en el dibujo, es agregar unos cuentos detalles finales, que básicamente es agregar cierta textura al personaje con diferentes pinceles y también hice lo que fue el fondo, agregando un color base y unas estrellas y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
