I was reviewing the Splinterlands characters and I found Mermaid Healer and I remembered how much I like that character, since I have drawn her in other occasions, so I said why don't I draw her again? Estaba revisando los personajes de Splinterlands y me encontré a Mermaid Healer y recordé lo mucho que ese personaje me gusta, ya que en otras ocasiones la he dibujo, así que dije porque no lo dibujo nuevamente? Les comparto el proceso de todo la ilustración:

I started doing the sketch in traditional, capturing the best possible of the character in my style. After having done the sketch, when I had all the character structured, what I do next is to pass it to Clip Studio Paint, to clean up the whole drawing and thus leave it ready to start working on the color.

Comencé haciendo el boceto en tradicional, captando lo mejor posible del personaje a mi estilo. Luego de haber estado haciendo el boceto, cuando tuve todo estructurado todo el personaje, lo que hago seguidamente es pasarlo al Clip Studio Paint, para limpiar todo el dibujo y así dejarlo listo para comenzar a trabajar el color.

To work with color, what I do is to take the main colors of the original illustration. In a few words, what I do is to take the main color palette and use it to my liking. I start by adding a base color, which in this case was the base color of the skin, then I continue with the other elements in the drawing, such as the hair, clothes and accessories.

When I have the illustration with all the base colors, what I do next is to start adding details, defining the skin and other things in the drawing. I always start adding the shadows in different layers, since I add between two or three different shadows in the illustration and these go from the lightest, then intermediate and finally the darkest.

Cuando tengo la ilustración con todos los colores base, lo que hago después es comenzar a agregar detalles, definiendo la piel y demás cosas en el dibujo. Siempre comienzo agregando las sombras en diferentes capas, ya que agrego entre dos o tres sombras diferentes en la ilustración y estas van desde las mas claras, luego intermedias y finalmente las mas oscuras.

I also add details in the skin, hair and clothes, to finish the whole illustration adding a background and glitter in the whole composition. And that would be all friends.

También agrego detalles en la piel, cabello y ropa, para así terminar toda la ilustración agregando un fondo y brillos en toda la composición. Y eso seria todo amigos.
