Hey dear Sketchbook community! I hope you are doing well.
I want to show you a portrait I made of Anya Taylor, inspired mostly by her role as Beth Harmon in the series The Queen's Gambit. I saw this series a long time ago and I think I would not get tired of watching it because of how much I liked it hehe, I had long wanted to do something related to it, today I finally decided and got down to work, I must say that I was surprised with the result, I hope you also like it. I share with you the process below.

¡Hola querida comunidad de Sketchbook! Espero que estén muy bien.
Quiero mostrarles un retrato que hice de Anya Taylor, inspirado principalmente en su papel de Beth Harmon en la serie The Queen's Gambit. Esta serie la vi hace mucho tiempo y creo que no me cansaría de verla por lo mucho que me gustó jeje, llevaba tiempo queriendo hacer algo relacionado con ella, hoy por fin me he decidido y me he puesto manos a la obra, he de decir que me ha sorprendido el resultado, espero que a ustedes también les guste. A continuación les comparto el proceso.

After sketching I started with the face, it has been a long time since a face gave me work, since the shading was very marked and there was little reflected light.
Después de bocetar empecé con la cara, hacía mucho tiempo que un rostro no me daba trabajo, ya que el sombreado era muy marcado y había poca luz reflejada.

I placed two chess queens to reflect what she represents in the series and also as a symbol of yingyang, and I marked some silhouettes of several chess pieces.
I really like to draw redheads hehe, so I dedicated some time to the hair, this time I put some base color and worked it hair by hair, I particularly love to make the hair tousled, but you can see that Beth's character likes to comb her hair, everything is perfectly where it should be haha so this was a little challenge.
Coloqué dos reinas de ajedrez para reflejar lo que ella representa en la serie y también como símbolo del yingyang, y marqué algunas siluetas de varias piezas de ajedrez.
Me gusta mucho dibujar pelirrojas jeje, así que le dediqué algo de tiempo al cabello, esta vez le puse base de color y lo trabajé pelo a pelo, particularmente me encanta hacer el cabello despeinado, pero se ve que al personaje de Beth le gusta peinarse, todo está perfectamente donde debe estar jaja así que esto fue un pequeño reto.

For the background I made some spots and on top of this I placed some squares focusing on the chessboard, then I erased this little by little with the same brush as the spots and low opacity. This concludes my work today, until next time.
Para el fondo hice unas manchas y encima coloqué unos cuadrados enfocando el tablero de ajedrez, luego borré esto poco a poco con el mismo pincel de las manchas y baja opacidad. Con esto concluyo mi trabajo de hoy, hasta la próxima.
