A big greeting to the entire community of: "Silver Bloggers" I hope everyone is well, I am fine despite certain pains that I have left as a consequence of COVI-19, but I try to ignore them, I am sure that little by little they will disappear, I tell you that while I am doing something, I don't feel these ailments, for this reason I have always tried to be busy doing something like: writing songs, playing and singing, walking on the beach, and above all working the fields, because apart from music, my crops are what What entertains me the most, I am 65 years old, but I can tell you that I am prepared to face any difficulty that appears due to old age, because for me old age is not a limitation, I am clear that with the passing of Over the years our body changes and of course the energies decrease, but this is not a limitation for us to be pessimistic, we just have to look for strategies based on our own experiences to continue doing the things we used to do is, but yes, we must have a positive attitude in the face of any challenge, no pessimism, I tell you that a few weeks ago I started my coriander crops on my farm, and although my body is not the same as two years ago, I have faith and optimism that I will have a good harvest.

My crops help me exercise my body and mind

Yes friends, after overcoming COVI-19, I have felt pain in the joints, especially at the level of the knee and ankle of the left leg, the doctor told me that these are sequels left by COVI so that, These are situations that happen and you have to accept them with serenity, the important thing is to overcome illnesses and give thanks to God for life.

My crops keep me active

My crops have always been my entertainment, I like to sow many plants, as well as clean the weeds and fumigate my plants, I have been doing this job for 25 years, but when I got sick with COVI, I had to leave the farm and really , I really missed the crops, because with that work I exercise my body, well, now I am working the land again, but with new strategies to facilitate the work.

My strategies to prepare the land and not force my body

I am doing the cultivation of coriander on raised beds, it is a bit hard work, due to the force that is used to move the earth, but I have been doing this work little by little, each bed is 20 meters long by one meter wide, before I used to make a bed of these in two hours, and now I try to do it in 4 hours, starting very early after breakfast, and before 7 in the morning I am already working, more than anything to take advantage of the freshness of the morning, because after 10 am the sun is exhausting, yes, while I do these activities, I try to drink water, I also sit for a while under the trees, then in the afternoon I continue with these tasks, the truth is , that I decided to continue working in agriculture but with great caution, not lifting heavy things, nor exposing myself to the sun a lot, in my bag I have a sunscreen cream to protect myself from ultraviolet UV rays

My compadre, is a great help in my crops

I tell you that in previous years, my brother-in-law helped me with the planting of vegetables, but a year ago he went to Brazil in search of progress, you already know what is happening here in Venezuela, well, the truth is that now I am going to work with my compadre, he is 56 years old, and although he does not know much about agriculture, he has shown that he wants to learn, since I started he has been helping me in all the activities, but he only helps me in what he has to to do with the preparation of the land, planting and irrigation, because the work of weeding and pruning trees is done by a young man who I always look for for these jobs, and of course I pay him for these tasks, well, I have the support of my compadre, that practically we are already partners.

There we see my compadre:

Sowing the coriander seeds:
To facilitate the sowing of the seeds, I had to invent a rake type marker that leaves a line of furrows when I pass it through the ground, which is precisely where I am going to place the seeds, with this mechanism, I sow the coriander seeds faster, so that now I spend less time bending over, because as you know, being bent over for a long time generally affects the waist and more in older people.

I water my plants just by turning on the electro-pump

As I was saying, a few weeks ago I started with my coriander crops, and taking into account that my physical condition is not the same as two years ago, I decided to look for new strategies to try to make less effort, so I had to implement a system irrigation with micro-perforated hoses, where the water is driven by a centrifugal pump, so that the water comes out under pressure upwards and falls as rain, these hoses are known as "santeno", *** good friends ,*** to water my plants with this irrigation system, I only have to turn on the electro-pump and that's it.

Well friends, with this publication I did not want to teach you how to "sow coriander", but rather, to "sow optimism", tell yourselves that if you can do the things that you like the most, that the age is not a limitation, nor will it make them stop, I think that if those who have read this publication are younger than me, or older than me, I will surely be an example of motivation for them.

Thank you friend for your comment, yes friend, many people when they reach 60 years old, or retire from their job, think that they can no longer continue working, and even more so when they feel some pain in the joints, well no, age does not it is a limitation, we may not be able to do the work as we did before, but we can continue to do it with the help of others and with new techniques.

Thank you, friend, yes, little by little, I will get into the rhythm of work, before I used to expose myself a lot to the sun, and I didn't care about the working hours, but now, I am doing it calmly, little by little, and with help, because I have to take care of me Greetings.
