Hello beautiful people. This is a phrase that you will hear people say from time to time but it takes guts and sheer will to put it into practice.

It is a necessity in life and one of the few ways to quickly achieve our goals. It is easy to miss out on opportunities for growth because we are afraid of what the risks we have to take will bring.

Let's just agree that risks are downright scary and at the same time it can be exhilarating because you have to be up and doing, you have to think on your feet and you have to find a balance between courage and bravery.

Every successful business owner today has had to take some necessary risks at some point in their business journey. They must have had to try a radical idea, invest an amount of money they could afford to lose and then look failure in the eye and go all in.

Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple is a good example of a life long risk taker. Every leap forward for the company was based on heavy risks, it is often that risk that leads to the biggest payoffs. He is a name and figure in the technology world that will not be forgotten soon because the risks he took are living even after he has died.

So, if you are considering a risky venture, take an inspiration from people like Steve jobs, who have dared to dream big and go after their goals like a lion chasing after it's meal.

It's important to know that there is a big difference between taking a calculated risk and being completely careless and brash.

Risk takers are calculative, they weigh the potential benefits against the costs and possible changes during the risk taking. As a risk taker, make sure you have a clear idea of what you hope to achieve and what you stand to lose if things do not go as planned, sometimes you go all in and sometimes you don't.

Mike Tyson is a powerful risk taker, he became a multiple time heavyweight champion by putting himself in the ring time and time again, risking injury and pain, and also risking defeat.

His story reminds us that sometimes all it takes is for us to get in the ring, ready for injury and loss, embracing the unknown and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones.

It doesn't matter how long we spend in the preparation stage or planning stage, all of that is prerequisite, the real deal comes to when you take the action, our actions determines our dreams.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Let's take a minute to talk about the fear of failure that hd us back from taking risks, it is true that we have seen some massive failures and that has put an unbelievable amount of fear in us, we do not want to end up like those people and most importantly, we do not want to make the same mistakes they made.

That is why we must learn from their failure so that we can be able to make better choices, improved decisions and conquer fear that cripples decision making.

Next time you are about to take a risk, remember those people who took big risks and won, people like Steve and Tyson

You will never know what you are capable of until you test your resolve against strong currents. Until you do, you may never find out just how powerful you truly are and how you can achieve great things.

The key here is that as much as you believe or expect a positive outcome, you can still gain valuable experience and insight if things don't go as you expect and that will help you in the future.

...to be continued

Cheers.
