Beauty of Eagle Square, Langkawi, Malaysia
Langkawi, an island in Malaysia, is named after the red-backed eagle that soars over the island.
When we visited Langkawi, we went to Eagle Square in the late afternoon one day. It is actually located near the ferry terminal. For us, we drove from the Kuah Town. It was an easy drive with the help of Google map.
When we got there, we had some nice coffee and snacks at the ferry terminal. There are some duty free shops there so if you are looking for stuffs like chocolates and pans and pots, you are in luck. I heard these products are duty free and tourists buy them.
The highlight of Eagle Square is of course this large eagle statue as shown below. Wings wide spread. It is indeed spectacular! It is a site that many tourists assembled to take photographs of.
Adjacent to this grand statue, visitors will find a serene pond. Its tranquil waters offer a crystal-clear reflection of the vast sky overhead and the buildings nearby.
Here are more shots for you to enjoy the beauty of Eagle Square.
Shifting the angle of the camera allowed me to show you the different views of the park. Would you agree with me that the side view of the eagle below is absolutely gorgeous? The texture of the sky also made it stands out.
If you arrive at Langkawi by ferry, don't forget to walk out to enjoy the view of the statue and pond. If you are in Langkawi and have a car, it is also a destination worth spending some time at.
