IT'S NOT THE SAME AS BEFORE #LOH #212

Inflation has done a lot in our current days compared to before, gone are the days when we could do things freely and still be ok with it. I will tell a story my Dad told me one time and it is not the same thing as we are experiencing right now, about the inflation although things were expensive then too but it is not the same thing as now, then was a bit better than now, let's go unto the story my Dad told us. Here in Nigeria, in the 19 somethings or should I say during the 1970s when he was a young adult and still in secondary school he could go to the farm alone and when he is done he would come back home and then continue with his life, but in these days even as adults you dare not go to the farm alone because of insurgencies and insecurity in the land. Also he told us stories of how when they were younger children of the same age grade can come out in the late evenings to play till late in the night and still sleep outside there with other families on their mats and with their lantern. These days you dare not because of that is happening nowadays in the country.

Technology is good but I think it also has it own side effects, side effect of people not being able to gather together in the village square again to discuss how he day went, nowadays it's everybody to your gadgets and you holla the few you can. This is kinda sad, don't get me wrong technology is good.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. See you soon. 🤗

peace out ✌️

It is so true that you cannot do what was back in the 70's, 80's or even 90's-it's just not safe. I know there is a woman in Georgia, USA, who has been arrested because her son left and walked to school on his own. The child was 10-11 years old. I find it incredible that she's been arrested for this! They say that she was negligent of her child. Also, keep in mind this was not in a city, but in a rural country setting!

IF she'd been in the city; well, it would not be safe for him for sure.

Whether the danger is from citizens or like in this case, the authorities, it just isn't what it used to be.

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

Wow 😦 this is serious whereas over here my dad would say kids of 4-5 years then go to school on their own

It bothers me because it's very unlikely that much of anything would happen to him in a rural setting like that. I think back to when I was that age, and we were always going places, just us kids without adult supervision. I think it comes down to the so called 'experts' sticking their noses in where it doesn't really belong and trying to control people. I am hoping the mom figures out a legal strategy out of this.

Take care!
