Celebrations/events and their financial commitments (Valentine's day overboard preparation, and debts to pay afterward).

Honestly, I am not saying celebrating yourself or your significant other is a bad thing neither am I a sadist, all I am saying is that you do not need to go overboard and spend above your means just to impress someone, anyone who truly cares about would not want you to go broke because you are trying to make the world believe something that you are not, now I'm not going to mention any names and even if I did I doubt you reading this post or anyone on Hive would even know the person but still am not going to mention any names for privacy sake since I always promote my posts on Twitter.

Now, this guy at the moment does not have a job or any investment or anything paying him but still, he is already pulling out all the red carpet event kind of show for Valentine's Day and honestly we both know he can not afford it, not to be a bad person but the voice of reasoning I asked him how he got the money to do all the things that he is doing, he told me he borrowed it to pay back later with interest and am like ok do you have any plans on how you are going to pay the money back and he said NO, I was shocked but not to be tagged as a hater or a sadist I kept quiet and let him do whatever he wanted and also what gave him joy.

But here was what was going through my head, first of all, he could not borrow the money to invest in anything or something that would make him some money when we both know he is broke, but he could borrow a large amount of money he borrowed to impress someone that might leave him later to another person although I can think that way but as someone who likes to be prepared for everything that happens ten steps before they do and likes to way all option. Now let's say she leaves him, I mean we have seen people turn down wedding proposers or get left at the alter before, so it is not new, if she should leave him today the huge debt he has to pay does not go away the debt still remains.

So guys please if you know you do not have the money to afford a very expensive Valentine's day party and all that stuff you can not afford, instead of borrowing and putting yourself in a huge debt just do something small and reasonable if the person truly loves they would not care because valentine's day is for lovers, not a day to inquire huge debts you can not pay back, so instead of borrowing money to spend lavishly, invest it.
