{<MUSIC NEWS>} and Rising Star: Card Recommendations, Prices, statistics. 8/11/2024

Good morning to all friends, first of all I wish you all are having a happy Friday, this is the last working day of the week, so tomorrow it's time to rest, well I hope so because the truth is that these days it does not stop. So friends, today I'm back again to continue talking and interacting with all of you. The truth is that in this fantastic community every day you learn something new.

In my case today I want to share with you some interesting musical news that at the same time make a recommendation about a classic song of the electronic music genre. It is a very well known song and therefore it is very possible that some of you have heard it at some point. Besides that in the second half of the post I bring you my updated chart recommendation for today. I hope you like it. Let's start.

So we start first with the music news, as I was anticipating in the introduction, it turns out that a classic of electronic music is already a good number of years old today. It is the well-known track “Now You're Gone” by Dj Basshunter. This song is exactly 16 years and 6 months since it was released. That is to say, there are only 6 more months to go before it's 17 years since it was released. If I compare it with my age it is almost more than half and well, it feels like it has rained a lot since those times.

I tell you that I knew this song when I was a child. I don't know how to explain it correctly but in those years there was something special in music in general, maybe many of you think the same. Well in those years in the early 2000's, maybe around 2009 I was already listening to this song a lot. Back then I didn't even have a phone or a computer to listen to it.

I actually depended on my cousin who lived near my house to listen to it when he played it. It was funny because I remember he had an old computer, you know, one of those that sounded like it started an engine every time he turned it on, he didn't even have an original monitor, but one of those TV's with the big back, he had it adapted and used it as the monitor. But that's how we took advantage of it.

Yes, because in reality the best thing was not the computer, but the speakers that he had connected there. They were big, a little rickety, but they were very loud. Almost the whole neighborhood listened to that song when he and I played it. I liked electronic music a lot back then and I still like it a lot today, and this song was, so to speak, one of my favorites within the genre. I also listened to a lot of eurodance back then, I have told you about that in some previous posts.

First of all the lyrics of Now You're Gone lends itself to several interpretations, everyone is free to choose the one they like the most. If we take it as a general interpretation, it focuses on the pain of a breakup, and of course on the feeling of emptiness that someone leaves behind. It says it clearly, “Now you're gone, I realize my love for you was strong”.

Now some of you may be asking the question, what lesson can we draw from this song or rather from its message? Well in my opinion I think that beyond the rhythm it has a duality between the party and the pain, I don't know if you understand me. I say this because we have all felt at some point that something is missing, that someone is leaving us, (it doesn't have to be a relationship)-(it can be a thing too) and we fill that emptiness as we can. So I think the teaching is clear, it reminds us that we don't always value who we have, (or what we have) next to us. It tells us that time passes and the moments or those things don't come back. In that sense, I think the value of this song is not that it is super deep, but that it makes you think about the little things and relationships of every day and that we should value them now in the present and not later when they are gone.

So friends, now you just need to listen to the song for yourselves. That's why I'm going to leave the video below so you can watch it. On youtube it has right now more than 5.3 million views only on its official channel, because on the label's channel it has more than 330 million views and that's not counting the people who listen to the song offline. I think there is no better proof to start that this song is still being listened to a lot nowadays. So I leave you with the video. Don't forget that after this I leave you my chart recommendation below, after the video.
