{<MUSIC NEWS>} and Rising Star: Card Recommendations, Prices, statistics. 28/9/2024
Good morning to all my dear friends of hive, I hope you are all very well today. Friends I was a few days lost from here because I was a little ill health. But fortunately I am feeling better and I could come here today to share with all of you. Today I want to tell you my opinions about a musical album that was released not so long ago. I'm already telling you that it's good. Besides that I also want to share with you my daily recommendation of the best cards on the market today in our beloved game Rising Star. With this in mind we can begin.

Well folks it seems like it's been a while since the release of Travis' L.A. Times, and I have a few things to comment on. As always, if you haven't listened to it yet, you're missing out on something interesting. But well, we all know how life is, time goes by between one thing and another, and by the time you realize it, the album has been out for months. But don't worry, I'm going to tell you a little bit about what I thought of it, so you can also know what this work is about.
First of all I want to tell you that before the album was released I was thinking, ten albums already? The truth is a very important achievement, not every day a band reaches that amount, many fall by the wayside and others fail, but in this case it is different. I think the band has adapted well to the new generations. So, when L.A. Times came out, it gave me a kind of nostalgia, because I've listened to a lot of their work and I know they always do things right. At least that's my opinion.
For those of you who were paying attention before the release, you may have already heard some of the singles they released before. Gaslight, Raze The Bar and Bus were the first to play, and honestly, they surprised me because they came with an energy I wasn't expecting. Let's see those three tracks had something that hooked me and it was thanks to them that I knew beforehand that I was going to like this work as well. The funny thing about these singles is that, despite being played on all platforms, I ended up watching them more than listening to them. The music videos have that Travis touch: half melancholic, half enigmatic, but always leaving you wanting to hear a little more.
Fran Healy, the vocalist and main songwriter, said on his social networks that this is the most personal album they have done. And well in my opinion when someone tells you that, it's impossible not to go in with certain expectations. But the truth is, despite the personal, L.A. Times doesn't feel like a loaded album or difficult to listen to. In fact, there's something light about it, almost as if they've found a way to dump their emotions in a way that doesn't leave you on the floor. Maybe it's that mix of folk, R&B, and classic Travis melodies. For those who have been listening to the band for a while I'm sure you'll recognize them.
I liked the collaborations, especially the one with Brandon Flowers (The Killers) and Chris Martin (Coldplay). Each one left their own touch and I think that makes it a little bit more special. The good thing about Travis is that even though they experiment a bit, they never lose that touch, even if they invite collaborators. I don't know if it happens to them, but you listen to a song and you immediately know it's Travis. At least in my case I always recognize the style of the chorus, besides his voice obviously haha. Songs like Bus and Gaslight take you back to that feeling of the first albums, but with a maturity that only time can give you. That's how I see it.
There are a couple of songs that are a bit out of the norm, like Home and I Hope That You Spontaneously Combust. They are more adventurous, with influences ranging from R&B to more vintage sounds. If you ask me, these are the moments where Tony Hoffer's hand is most noticeable, and the truth is that he gives a fresh air to the band.
Well, after all this, you might be wondering if the album is worth listening to. And the short answer would be yes, of course it is. I think it's a good choice. The album has a total of 16 songs, so there is a little bit for all tastes, although for me I think they are all good. Friends then with this we close today's news and my opinions. Now let's see the cheap cards of the day.
