Well, nothing, today I wanted to talk to you about a song that, well, I'm sure you know, although maybe not everyone has felt it the same way I did. So I get to the store, and the salesman, as part of his convincing process, plays me the video of “Diamonds”, he did it more to test the quality of the screen and the colors. The video of the song is very good for that because it is partly in dark colors and you can detect if the screen has light leaks. And well the funny thing is that I didn't expect at all that I was going to discover one of my favorite songs in such a random way, but I did.

Back then, things were not so easy in terms of internet access. It's not like now that you have everything at a click, in 2015 there was not so much connectivity in my country, I want to clarify in my country, because in the rest of the world there was already everything, but we are more behind in that subject haha. That's why many songs were coming to me years after their release. In fact I have already mentioned some of these experiences in previous posts.

I say that sometimes things come at the right time, because the song made that day a little bit more special. As I'm sure you know buying a new computer is always a reason to be happy, and even more when it's a laptop which is an important investment, so that song always brings back nice memories of that day. Haha. In fact that song I have always kept it in my computer, because it was inaugurated with it. A few months ago I changed my laptop for a better one, but I didn't vote the old one, just because of the memories it brings me. It still works. I even wrote several posts in this community with it.

Going on with the song I would tell you that Diamonds has something magnetic about it, and I think it's because of the way it leaves its message. It does it in a kind of a mix so to speak. At least to me it leaves me with that feeling of strength with an air of tranquility. That's why the lyrics that tell you “you're shining like a diamond” fit so well, but at the same time without being so obvious, more like a kind of personal mantra. The truth is we all have those moments when we need to remind ourselves that we are strong, valuable, and that we can excel despite the difficulties, right? That's what this song conveys to me.

Maybe to others it doesn't convey anything, but in my case I always like to go a little beyond the music to see the meaning of the song. In fact I usually visit a lot of websites where fans of the cancellines give a little bit of lore to the song and I can see things from another perspective.

On the other hand friends if we analyze the song musically, it has a simple, almost hypnotic rhythm, so to speak, that catches you in the almost literal sense, at least that's how it is in my case. I like how, it's not the typical ballad nor a party track, it manages to make you feel something between those two worlds. I don't know if I'm making myself clear. It's like being between calm and celebration, as if you were in a space where you can reflect, but at the same time feel empowered. That's why I like it so much.
