A saving dairy
It seems to be a sunny day, and the weather appears to be hot and humid. Bridget decided to take a walk home from school with her friend, Jumoke. While walking, she asked her friend, “Big head, what will you give for my birthday gift?”
Jumoke smiled and said in a joking way, “A slap and an astonishing bath of water.”.
“I guess that can't be you saying this because you know that when you do that, I will give you double of what you give me on your day too," Jumoke replied.
They both laughed and continued trekking home. Jumoke got to her house since it was close to the road, while Bridget continued trekking to her house.
“I just can't imagine what Mummy and Daddy will buy for me on my 16th birthday because I just can't wait for the day to come," she murmured.
Finally, the day with a package of surprises that Bridget couldn't imagine that she would have from her parents finally arrived. A good sound of music jingled like a merry sound in her ear. Her room was blooming with light of different colours. She was amazed, opening her eyes to the song that has a sweet melody of happy birthday. She smiled and ran to the parlor to see if everyone was awake.
Her siblings jumped on her and sang for her, while her parents gave her a hug and prayed for her. She was happy to see the day.
Getting to school, her friends were also prepared to give her a surprise she wasn't expecting either. They packed their gift and kept it in her locker, giving her a pretentious look when she stepped into her class. Within a few minutes later, everyone surrounded her with a welcome birthday song that gladdened her heart.
While everyone rushed to their various desks, prepared to learn, She tried to stalk in notes under her locker when she observed that it was filled with letters and a rap gift, but her maths teacher was in the classroom. She decided not to lose her concentration on what her maths teacher was teaching them. After a short while, a short break bell jingled, and she quickly brought out all the stuff in her locker. She brought out the rap gift and opened it to see what was inside. It was a beautiful pink diary she thought of having. Checking the name of the presenter of the gift, it was Jumoke, with a note of admiration and prayer that moved her to jump from her desk. But at the same time, she tried her best to control her emotions.
She quickly ran out to find Jumoke, jumped on her, and said, “You're such a remarkable person; I love you for this.” Jumoke smiled and said, “You deserve it, my dear.”.
When she got home, her dad bought her a cake to celebrate her day. She took some pictures with her parents, friends, and family.
“Oh! What a surprising day," Bridget thought. She was not expecting it. She really cherished the diary that her friend gave her as a gift. Likewise, she named the dairy a “small Bridget.”
She decided to keep the diary in a hidden place in her room where no one could have access because she was going to write every action, her thoughts, things that happened at home, and her imaginary feelings inside it.
One day, she forgot her diary in the parlor and left for school in the morning. Her elder sister, who seems to be around, decides to check the contents of the diary. She was so surprised to see the contents of the dairy. She was surprised to see how a teenage girl could write in a mature and crescent style that has a profound meaning that could inspire life, along with a case that happened in the house, in which no one could narrate or tell how it happened between their parents. Bridget knew about it; she wrote it in her diary. Not only that, she saw a write-up, which she has been longing to have.
Her elder sister took her phone, snapped it, and decided to use it for a competition she was introduced to, which could fetch her an award of money and a scholarship if she won the competition.
When Bridget came back from school, she wanted to get something from the fridge. Her eyes gazed at the dining table. She quickly took it and hid it back in her room. But her elder sister was inside the kitchen, cooking. She pretended not to see her.
Later in the evening, she went to Bridget's room to find out more about Bridget's diary.
“My angel, I really want to apologize for going through your diary, but still, I'm sick with what I saw," she said politely to Bridget.
“Please, I saw a write-up, and I would like to use it for a writing competition, which would fetch us money if I won," she continued.
She gave her sister the dairy, and then she uploaded the write-up online. She finally won the competition. Not only that, but she was so happy and thanked Bridget for her effort to bring up this write-up. Likewise, she tipped Bridget for part of the money. Travel out of the country to study abroad.
