Loh Contest #206 ~ Let’s Balance It Up.
If I could stay all by my own in this world, I would have tried it but it isn’t easy and also not the best idea so I need people because there are days when I may be needing help and they may need me too. We are all for ourselves.
Just because we are all for ourselves, we sometimes give things or money out to people especially for those who have more people around them and may have one thing or the other to do.
It feels good to see a beggar who is in need of a slippers and gives it to the person. It’s very fantastic to see someone who doesn’t have enough to eat and give food to the person but feels bad when you are prioritizing the needs of other people even more than your own.
That brings us to the ladies of Hive contest question.
How do you create balance between giving to others and prioritizing your own needs?
I know I may sound like I’m being stingy here but I will give you illustrations. If you want to create a balance, it’s very important for you to know that anything you want to do must be you first which means you have to prioritize your life even before that of another person.
To buttress this point, my mum is someone who loves her siblings and family a lot and due to that, if any of them needs anything, she always want to get it fron them.
Sadly, we now get to realize that these so called siblings are even doing better than my mum and my mum has spent all she has in her life for her siblings which means that she didn’t even put herself first and I’m sure you won’t want this to happen to you.
How can we create this balance?
It is very easy. List all the things you need and go for the most important ones.
After then, you can now decide on what you want to use the money for either by giving it out or still using it for yourself.
Money is the perfect example I can use here because money is very important.

You’re not even being stingy, that is the truth.
You should always put yourself first. You can’t be giving people food whiles you yourself haven’t eaten. It’s okay to be selfless but at a point, you will learn the hard way. So yeah, put yourself first especially in terms of finances.
I’m happy you agree with me so it won’t look like I’m typing rubbish
Ah reminds me of my life lessons. My mom used to do that for her siblings and after her death, her siblings don't even care for her anymore, they don't even remember her...I also prioritize myself because I have seen people enough. I also believe that after fulfilling my needs, I can help others also...
Thanks for sharing such a valuable perspective...
Goodluck...
Wow
That’s sad

My late Mom was an incessant saver, she balked at spending any of her savings for herself. I was happy that she took some time to finally take a few cruises to travel, joined a social club to enjoy her retirement and not have to worry about me or my siblings.
❤️
Aww
That’s so cute
I pray she rests in peace
She left an estate such that my younger sisters wouldn't need to rent. I assured my Mom that I will look after their interests. It's no wonder why I take after my mom in many respects.
