There's one thing I don't quite understand and fancy. Book series that don't entail the continuation of the first book. I read The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori sometime last year and it was good. It was a series so I looked forward to what the second book was all about. To my disapointment,it was based on another set of characters from the same story. It was like Twisted Love series and how the different books in the series were about different people. I don't know, those sort of series aren't really my thing. It'll be something to look out for whenever I'm starting a series now. I know, yes, reading about a particular set of people for so long can become a bore, but I fancy the bore and if the main characters are interesting enough,I would see it to the end.

The Sweetest Oblivion is part of the Made series written by Danielle Lori. It revolves around Elena, an offspring of one of the heads of the Italian mafia and Nicolas, one of the dons of the Russia Mafia. He was a very dangerous man, known for his ruthlessness. He was to marry Elena's sister,Adrianna as a sort of business proposal or arrangement. Something of the sort.
One day,Nicolas and Elena met. It was quite an unpleasant meeting because none of them fancied each other. Although, one won't say the same for Nicolas though. He was curious why Salvatore(the don of the Italian mafia and also Elena's father) didn't offer his first daughter, Elena, for the marriage proposal. As the story continues,Elena becomes an overwhelming part of his thoughts and he asks for her hand in marriage instead. He was quite a dangerous man and Salvatore did not want to risk going to war with him, that's why he reluctantly gave him what he wanted.

We get to see a lot of violence, family drama, Mafia drama within this book. It's been a while I read this book, sometime last year to be exact. I just random saw it in my library and decided to pick it up again. I'm not really a fan of Mafia themed books so I don't really know what the highest rated mafia book seems like or is like,so I'll rate this in accordance to how well it spiked my interest. I'll grade it and if I do that, it's getting a C. Or a B, I don't know. It's a good book, not just my kind of thing.

Thanks for reading.
