My Wrap and Spotify

It was a very casual Wednesday today. There I was,laid down on my bed, exhausted after a four hours lecturer. "It's out. It's out", my roommate said,with so much excitement laced in her voice,as she came to plop down on my bed. I felt my eyebrows furrow a bit as I was unaware of what exactly was out. "Spotify wrapped is out". It registered in my head then that it was the 4th of December. They always release it around December,I wasn't just sure of the date.

I was already so pissed off with the app because of a certain incident that occured someday. I was having a bad day, my breathing was heavy,my eyes were a bit red and I was having this banging headache. Only for me to recieve an alert on my phone and to find out I've been debited for premium on Spotify. It's my fault though, for not checking my mail but I needed someone or something to blame it on,so I chose them. I chose Spotify.

I discreetly think they messed up the algorithm when it came to listing out my top artists. But then,I remembered that it's based on what I've been listening to throughout the entire year. Something,I always forget.

I listened to music for 16,287 minutes. No wonder my ears hurt like crazy right now. I was curious and lowkey excited to know my statistics for the year. The curiosity caused the excitement and I don't know, happiness?

My top artist of the year was/is Rema. A Nigerian male artist,very talented and hawt!

I always look forward to my wrapped its year. It's a reminder that once again,this or a particular year has come to an end. My wrapped keeps me updated with my life,how I've changed based on my music listening. What genre I listen to that brings me excitement and peace. Billie has always been there. Every year.
