"It wasn't a dream", she said. "It wasn't a dream!", she yelled, throwing her fist into a wall as she tries to convince herself that it was not a dream. She could still feel it. She could still feel the way the air felt around her. The way she felt. Calm, happy,at peace. It wasn't the sound of birds flapping their wings and singing that got her attention. It was the way they seemed so beautiful with the sky as they're background. It was blue at first, then dark. The ground below her was fading away, slowly and turning into something...black and blank. It was pitch black everywhere, like she'd been thrown into a hole. She could feel herself falling and falling and falling...and falling. And then suddenly, she stopped. She was upright again and there was a hint of light now. It was white and bright. She squinted to get a better look at where it was coming from but wasn't successful. So she stayed, waiting and hoping, for that light to suddenly become nearer and clearer.
Staying in a place had always been excruciatingly painful for her. She liked to move about and only stay in a place when she was asleep or reading. She wondered how long she had wasted just staying. How much energy and hope she had in her to keep convincing herself they it was going to get better, that she was going to get better and that...that shinning bright white light becomes clearer.
It's been weeks now,she thought as she remained surrounded by nothing but darkness. It was starting to creep in again. Doubt and worry. She worried she'd never find a way of this. She'd worried this would be where she'd meet her end. She knew an aspect of living was to enjoy the thrill of what's unknown and is to come. She did not like that. She didn't like dwelling on the probability of the lights being clearer or not. So she stayed.
