Miguel Aprende Una Nueva Lengua. Otro Orgullo Familiar. Hace justamente una semana, la familia en pleno tuvo la satisfacción de presenciar la defensa del Trabajo de Grado de Mi hija Nancy, el cual presentó y defendió con total éxito obteniendo 20 puntos, un orgullo que atesoramos por siempre, imagínense ustedes cuando llegue el momento del acto de grado. Ahora, la familia celebra un nuevo logro que también nos llena de orgullo y es que cuando nuestros hijos cumplen una meta, no importa si esta es pequeña o grande, meta lograda es meta lograda. Y es que hoy celebramos por partida doble, porque mi hijo Miguel si se quiere ha logrado una meta parcial y una total. Digo una parcial, porque en el mes de marzo de este año 2024, él inició su carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica y a pesar de algunas dificultades pudo seguir adelante y lograr aprobar todo su semestre, así que ha avanzado a su segundo semestre en la carrera mencionada.

Por otra parte, ya hace aproximadamente 15 meses la familia tuvo la oportunidad de inscribir a Miguel en un curso de inglés que tuvo el lapso de tiempo antes mencionado. Un curso largo donde al final tendrían la capacidad de establecer conversaciones en ese idioma; a nosotros nos pareció importante, porque precisamente cuando Miguel estaba cursando su último año de bachillerato, esta Corporación Americana de Inglés fue a su colegio, seleccionaron a algunos alumnos, Miguel fue uno de ellos, presentaron una prueba y mi hijo fue seleccionado obteniendo una semi beca, es decir, solo pagaría la mitad del curso. Fue una oportunidad que no dejamos pasar y luego de consultas en familia, Miguel fue inscrito y hoy celebramos su graduación bilingüe.

On the other hand, approximately 15 months ago, the family had the opportunity to enroll Miguel in an English course that took place during the aforementioned period of time. A long course where at the end they would have the ability to establish conversations in that language; it seemed important to us, because precisely when Miguel was in his last year of high school, this American Corporation of English went to his school, they selected some students, Miguel was one of them, they presented a test and my son was selected obtaining a semi scholarship, that is to say, he would only pay half of the course. It was an opportunity that we did not let pass and after family consultations, Miguel was enrolled and today we celebrate his bilingual graduation.

Sabemos que no es un acto de grado universitario, pero si es un nuevo logro, porque obtiene el conocimiento más profundo sobre un nuevo idioma; idioma que sabemos le va a servir de mucho al momento de culminar su carrera, ya que le pueden abrir muchas puertas. Claro está, que Miguel debe continuar asistiendo a la Academia, no para continuar el curso; sino, que allí tienen una nueva etapa conversacional para que los egresados vayan adquiriendo más experiencia en este aspecto.

Para el acto de grado, un día antes mi esposa junto con mi hija, asistieron al lugar para decorarlo y dejarlo listo para el momento esperado. El acto se llevó a cabo el 5 de julio 2024 donde pudimos asistir mi esposa, Nancy y mi persona, para presenciar la emoción de otra graduación. De igual manera, a los graduados le mandaron a confeccionar una franela muy bonita, la cual lucieron ese día y guardarán como recuerdo de este logro.

The graduates also had a very nice flannel made for them, which they wore that day and will keep as a souvenir of this achievement.

El acto inició con palabras de director dando la bienvenida y anunciando la entrada de las autoridades y profesores de la Academia, para luego anunciar la entrada de los graduados, otro momento muy emotivo; de verdad que en estos dos meses la familia ha tenido grandes y gratas emociones. Acto seguido, los alumnos debían dar a todos los presentes, palabras que salieran de sus corazones para dar gracias a la Academia por los conocimientos adquiridos, y a todos los padres por el apoyo que cada uno le dió a sus hijos; este momento fue sumamente emocionante.

Luego de la entrada de todos los graduados y de las palabras expresadas por ellos, se dio inicio a la firma del acta, entrega de los certificados y medallas a cada uno de los muchachos. Para la familia, este momento es más emocionante aún, porque vemos a nuestros hijos caminar hacia el presídium para recibir estos grandiosos elementos y verlo firmar el libro y recibir su certificado y medallas, es la prueba de haber cumplido su meta; Miguel estaba sumamente emocionado y no es para menos, fueron 15 meses de estudio para adquirir una nueva experiencia en su vida.

Un momento más emotivo fue, cuando el director tomó el micrófono y le dijo a todos los graduados; tomen sus medallas y sus certificados y otórguelo a quien con mucho esfuerzo los apoyaron en este camino; cada alumno se dirigió al sitio donde estaban sus padres diciendo algunas palabras de agradecimiento en inglés y luego en español, de verdad que ese día las emociones no se detuvieron, un dia muy especial para Miguel y para toda la familia. En el certificado podrán notar su contenido, gramática, fonética, lectura, escritura y conversación.

Lógicamente, luego del brindis y antes de continuar con la celebración, los muchachos se agruparon para tomar una foto en conjunto para el recuerdo, son amigos que podrán encontrarse nuevamente en el camino de la vida. Bueno mis amigos, esta es la nueva experiencia y emoción que recibió la familia con este nuevo logro de mi hijo Miguel, hasta la próxima y se les quiere.
