Lekki conservation centre is a beautiful place, that has display nature and the wonders of the earth 🌎. It is also known for the beautiful atmosphere, it's is also a game reservation centre .

Exploring the nature reserve is so beautiful, they're so many wonders of life in the conservation reserve.

IS THIS THE NATURE RESERVE FREE ?

The answer is no, Lekki conservation centre is not fee to explore, but it cheap and very affordable, it doesn't cost more than 2 thousand naira, which is 2 HBD.

HISTORY

According to Wikipedia

The centre was established in 1990 to serve as biodiversity conservation icon and environment education centre. The facility was built by the Chevron Corporation for the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), as a reserved sanctuary for the rich flora and fauna of the Lekki Peninsula. The company has since provided annual funding for the management of the centre.

CANOPY WALK WAY

The canopy walk way is one of my favourite places in the lekki game reserve, it's as tall as 7 storey building, it's is also scary to climb 🪜. Children below 15 years are not allowed to climb the canopy walkway.

Flash back to 2022 when I visited the game reserve, it was fun, i really enjoyed myself with the fun activities over there.

When it was time to climb the canopy walk, i was so scared because it was very high from the ground and am so scared of heights, the more you climb the higher you go .

The tour guidian asked everyone climbing the canopy walkway to keep their phone or valuables in their bags, and the reason is because the monkey are always swinging around, they can grab anything from anyone, whatever the collect from a person is retrievable, because no one would start chasing the monkey to collect the valuable item.

The canopy walkway is very scary, you have to use both hands to hold the handles of the canopy, i could remember when I was walking on the canopy walkway and it was shaking, i started screaming 😂, I just wanted to go back, i didn't want to go further. At that point where i was, there's no going back, because i can't go back without the tour guardian, and the reason was that, he would be guiding those who wants to go further.

I had no option than to continue going further with the rest of the people, i was still screaming and everyone was laughing at me 😂😂, i felt embarrassed a little bit, but i didn't care, i just wanted us to finish the tour quickly.

This was was the reason why I was afraid, because it was too high, If I eventually fall off from the walkway, it's gonna be really bad for me.

DRESS CODE

When going to the lekki conservation centre, you need to to dress so sharp, when I say dress sharp, i mean you should put on snickers, joggers and a t-shirt 👕, (simply put) just wear something comfortable, something that would enable you to move your body freely.

You need comfortable clothes because, they're so many places to climb, so many fun activities to engage with, without being comfortable you won't enjoy the nature reserve.

THE TREE HOUSE 🏡

Another place to have fun in the nature reserve is the tree house, the tree house is so fun to climb.

Lekki conservation reserve is a wonderful place to be, a lot of tourists from different countries, always come to tour around the nature reserve. They're so many games to play, so many fun activities, beautiful animals, the mini lake and so much more.

Personally I call this nature reserve a mini paradise, because of how beautiful and organised the environment is.
