The Nervous Expectant Mum.

His he about to come out, why do I have that pain now, I didn't feel that way last week, is that my water breaking? These are questions that have been running through my mind lately.
We are in the last phase of the nine months of carrying this baby, and anytime from now I am going to be a mum and I am so happy about it but nervous too.

You will think I should be the only one who is nervous, but my husband cannot help but wait to meet his first son as well, upon every move or sound I make, he keeps asking me; is it time, is it the baby, are you fine honey? These questions continue to make me smile every time, knowing how intentional he is about me and the baby and the love and support he has consistently shown me this past few months is mind-blowing.

My parent are nervous as well about meeting their first grandchild, I am excited to be giving them this precious gift, my dad keeps calling to ensure everything is fine with me and the baby, and he keeps reminding me about how he is praying for me and how sure he is that everything will be just fine.

My Mum, on the other hand, will be coming down to help me take care of the baby since I have no experience before now, besides I may not have the strength to take care of him by myself, so she will be here to put me through as well as take care of her first grandchild herself.
My Mum has helped several women I know take care of their babies, people who for different reasons do not have their mothers around to help them take care of their babies, so this is a special one for her, you can tell.

My friends are nervous too, I called one of my friends this morning to check up on her but she didn't pick up her call, she immediately called me back to tell me how she thought the baby was here upon seeing my call, I smiled and asked her to calm down.

I have several questions myself too; how will my baby look like, will he have my looks or that of his dad, will he have my skin color or that of my inlaws, will he be as hairy as his dad or will he not have so much hair like me? Just so many questions I need to wait for upon his arrival to get my answers.

I would like him to come on a certain date which aligns with my younger sister's birthday as well, I have spoken to him to come on that date, so I hope he obeys me and that will also buy me some time to get everything I need to welcome him properly into this world. I still need some finances to get some of the things he needs, but I am hopeful that I will have more than I need to welcome my son appropriately.

I look so swollen now, with the appearance of someone who may burst open at any given time, I am already thinking seriously about how I will lose all this weight after my baby comes. I would love to read about how you were able to handle your anxiety before your baby came.
