Travel Experiences from Benue to Lagos

I hope this post met you all well.

Traveling they say is part of learning. It is also a way to have different experience, a fun way to explore places and meet people.
I have met a lot people and travelled a lot of places in my beautiful life so far.
Some travel experiences are awesome, like the first time, I actually travelled by Air, it was an amazing experience, the rush of experiencing something for the first time is adrenaline rush.

For someone like me, I travel around the state almost every time, either for my Business Relationship Manager business or any other reasons.
This time around, I would be talking about my last movement Home, which is Lagos state.

Presently I stay in Benue state, I work and have some business outlets within town.
So the last time I traveled very far, was when I travel to Lagos. The Journey to Lagos from Benue is a really far journey and it was very exhausting and Uncomfortable too, the total duration for the journey was is 16 hours or more, which is almost a full day.

So I booked a Ride with SAMANAS Transportation, I planned to move at Night because,on the day of my Movement, I had a lot of hindrance, so couldn't join the early morning bus because it was too late but some workers in the park convinced me to Go with the Night Journey,so I have no option than to Travel at Night, the stress during Night Journeys according to the workers in the transport company.

Some of the Experience I have during the Journey.

The Roads was very Bad.
One of the Major Cause of Accident here is the bad roads, the roads were so Bad within Aliade to Otukpo and also many parts of Kogi's road is dilapidated and damaged. Most of the time the driver enters into big pot holes, that nearly made the Bus to have accident but God Protected us every accident.

Too many Check points.

I can't really count the numbers of Police and Soldiers check points on the road, it was actually a very big issues
On the road, just in Kogi state alone there are more 20 check points, the crazy part of the whole experience is that the police and soldiers collect bribes from the drivers,
Many of the checkpoint purposefully delays us because of some reason like inability to give the police and Soldiers money on the road.

The Drivers also waste some time on the road, like almost every time he stops where people are buying snacks and food.

The Time Factor:
I usually don't like a long journey, this Trip from Makurdi to Lagos was really very time consuming, spending 16 hours on the road is not an enjoyable experience so far.

What would I recommend, especially for a better traveling experience.

A Good Road:
A good road would have really made the journey very enjoyable and also most importantly it will save life, accidents due to bad road would easily be reduced.
