How the New Year went.

_{Good day my Hive people and happy New Year, let me tell you guys how I spent my New Year.}

This morning when I woke up, we prayed to God who kept us alive, then after praying, some were washing plates, some were sweeping, some were cooking, and I was among those who were cooking. We cooked Jollof rice with Chicken, so after cooking, we took our bath and headed to church, as usual, it's New Year, so we have to go and give thanks to God. We got to church, prayed, danced and also some people rendered songs and our Rev Father came to the alter and preached to us and the bible passage was Matthew 5:15-20, and after that, we did thanksgiving and the Rev did the benediction and we headed back home.

Getting home, we thanked God again and they dished us our food complementing it with a Malt drink and that was how I enjoyed my new year.

So I would also like to advise us that we are already in the year 2024, we should know what we are all doing. God has promised to be with us throughout our journey and as we are embarking on a journey, it won't be that smooth though as we might face challenges but let us remember what God has said to us — never to leave us. We should be closer to God, when we do, the challenges we are facing will be solved. Also, we should not wait until we are facing a problem or we are in a situation before knowing that there's God.

Let us also keep reminding God that all we asked him in the year 2023 that he hasn't done, the year 2024 must not pass us by. Remember that God loves us, that's why he makes us like His image. So if you people were asking something from God and he gave you something else, don't be offended because the thing that we were asking may cause something bad to us so don't be offended or upset.

And this year 2024, we might face many challenges and even God will want to test our ability if truly we are children of God, some will want to lose hope but remember that Jesus was also tempted by Satan after his fasting and prayer yet he didn't fall into his temptation, so I will advise us to move closer to God, meditate in his word and he will surely help us through our journey. So I will likely advise us to not lose hope cause God's time is the best and he would not want us to perish, so in the year 2024, do your best and be more vigilant and God will surely help us through.

My aim on Hive is to be active, to learn and to make friends. My goal is to at least visit five posts in a day, as I am just starting to know about this platform. Along the line, I will move to more engagement and I hope to do my best.
