Without Lifting a Finger
One time at the university, I built an automatic control system for pumping water at home. It didn't come to mind that it was a smart home device, but I surely knew I liked soft life and for my home to be "smart." If I could, I wouldn't lift a finger at home. Anyway, here are a few gadgets that fascinate me.
Having a voice-controlled smart system is an obvious option. Alexa and the like, but if I'm being realistic, how often would I be using voice commands? Maybe it would be cooler to also use the kind of devices that understand environments and actions and be smart about what to do.
Smart plugs and switches
These are essentially outlets and switches that you can control and monitor. I personally like them and think that they are one of the first things to get if you want to get into making your home smart.
A good use of them is when you want to turn on/off an appliance. Rather than going right to the outlet or switch to turn on the TV, open a door, or even control a light bulb, you can basically do it from an app. They are very handy in even interfacing your appliances with voice-control systems and control systems for automated actions.

Another reason to have them is that you wouldn't necessarily need to get certain actual smart appliances that cost core by just controlling the power. Some of these smart plugs and switches even help you monitor power usage.
Roborock
A smart home vacuum cleaner. I found this one on YouTube, and it just made me want to own one immediately. What it does is clean your floors automatically. You get to schedule the robot. It's capable of mapping your house's flooring, so it knows how to clean better. Roborock can even determine what kind of floor surface.

It has a mobile app to interface its user with the robot. And it has a dock where it returns to for charging, but it also has a dustbin, a dirty water container, and a clean water container. How cool is this robot vacuum cleaner?
Smart Locks
There are many variations of home smart locks, but the general idea is to have a little more control over access to certain doors and drawers and things like that.

The ones that have fingerprint scanners are probably even cooler. You could make sure that only specific people have access. Maybe the door locks could even be interfaced through a control hub so you just close your doors without moving. Makes a lot of sense.
Smart mattress
Honestly, I'm not sure this is even a necessity. I just think it'll be a little fancy and cool to have some insights to my health and sleep and some added experiences.
I've heard of some, but the most common one I see around is 8 Sleep. And the latest version, the Pod 4 Ultra, is just on another level.
Maybe I'll never know how nice it is to have temperature control on a mattress until I try it, but it makes a lot of sense anyway. This one, Pod 4 Ultra, can even elevate the headside. That's really cool.
There are a lot more smart home devices I could list, but I'm just going to tame my imaginations for now. But what smart home gadgets fascinate you? Share with us in the community.

Lol bro, wth is 8 sleep?
I'm hearing about smart plugs for the first time. Those are definitely must haves!
I've seen and used the keycard variation of smart locks before, but the fingerprint ones are certainly an upgrade.
8 Sleep for all that teacher stress...
So will you be upgrading your mansion with fingerprint door locks now?
I aint got the facilities for that, big man.
I never thought about my smart home any time. Reading this post I also started to imagine about a smart home.

I saw this smart bed somewhere and I’m like is this where technology has gotten to? Someone can’t even sleep anymore without technology.😂😂
Something that Elon is putting Neuralink on brains now
Seriously, where’s the world going?
