Women In Film || My Favourite Actress [ENG-ESP]

When it comes to making movies, there are a lot of factors that come into play. Many categories of effort, technique, and experience make a film come to life, including cinematography, sound, plot, acting, and directing. And any shortcoming in any of these categories can derail the movie from what was envisioned.

Acting, however, plays a crucially vital role as it is the major ingredient in selling a character — and the film in turn — to the audience. Any deviation in the representation of a character could send the wrong message and leave a void in the storyline. Some cogent messages may just lie in the subtleties of the performance of an actor or actress. The perception of a concept, idea, or story in the world of film depends heavily on the effectiveness with which the characters are delivered by the actors or actresses. This is why many of us who watch films may have certain actors or actresses that we like to call "my favorites"—because they often deliver.

To commemorate International Women's Day, I will be talking about a certain actress that I have found to be impeccable in all her career as an actress in our time. Accolades to @franchalad for inspiring this post with his #womeninfilm initiative, which he shared a few days ago.

The first time I say her in a film was around 2019 when Birdbox had just been released. I watched Birdbox and I was sold right away, not just by the applaudable story and it's execution, but also by this actress that I found her performance to be impeccable. She endeared herself to with that film for her ability to, you know, play her role effectively. And maybe because she'd pretty too. But I digress..._{because she could be my mother with her age.}

I saw her then and never forgot her name. How could I? It stuck to my head like a glue made in Area 51. And it was just my first time seeing her performance. So I thought...

Who is this actress I speak of?

Sandra Bullock, yes, is the actress that has taken the spot as my favourite actress. But you may have already known that if you have watched Birdbox as she played the protagonist of the story, Melanie.

She has been in the industry for over 30 years now and has played roles in many films ever since. However, there are only about six of them in which she plays crucial roles that I have watched.

I thought the first time I had seen her was in that film, Birdbox, until I looked her up and found that she played a lead role, alongside Keanu Reeves, in the 1994 action/thriller film, Speed. Although I probably watched it in 2010 or thereabouts, I remember just how much I loved the show, and it was for obvious reasons; reasons that are applicable to many as the film still remains one of the top rated classics.

I don't remember much, but I won't forget how much I loved the film and all that it had to offer because everything hit just right for me, particularly the performances of the lead actors, Sandra and Keanu.

Sandra Bullock is one actress that I can say is versatile in her craft. Her craftsmanship with different types of roles is worth noting and elaborating on. It is no surprise to see her thrive in the film industry and become an irrefutable personality.

In Ocean's 8, we see her take on a role that shows her ability to take on roles that are distinct from one another and still perform as though they were different people. She practically gave life to the film with her dexterous acting, alongside the other talented actresses in the film.

When it comes to telling a story non-verbally, Sandra Bullock does it so well. Her body language, facial expressions, and gestures do a great deal to convey messages. There is so much depth in the way she shows emotions that are in perfect sync with the scenes. #pun-unintended.

The 2021 film The Unforgivable is another film that made me love Sandra even more. It is difficult to express just how flawless her performance was. It is something that must be witnessed firsthand to truly be appreciated. Her performance in this film drew me in and left me feeling deeply connected to her character. Undoubtedly, the many trophies Sandra has won do not exist on her shelf just for show. She is my favorite actress, and I admire her very much.

Her love for the film industry is undying, and her passion for acting is unwavering. However, unfortunately (for me), she may be retiring from TV for a while to focus more on herself and her family.

There are two films she starred in that I haven't watched yet: The Lost City and Bullet Train. When I do watch them, I sure will come back and talk about them and her performance in them again, of which I expect nothing less than exceptional.

La primera vez que la digo en una película fue allá por 2019, cuando se acababa de estrenar Birdbox. Vi Birdbox y me vendió de inmediato, no sólo por la historia aplaudible y su ejecución, sino también por esta actriz que encontré su actuación impecable. Se hizo querer con esa película por su capacidad de, ya sabes, interpretar su papel con eficacia. Y quizás porque también era guapa. Pero divago..._{porque podría ser mi madre con su edad.}
La vi entonces y nunca olvidé su nombre. ¿Cómo podría? Se me pegó a la cabeza como un pegamento fabricado en el Área 51. Y era la primera vez que veía su actuación. Así que pensé...

¿Quién es esta actriz de la que hablo?

Sandra Bullock, sí, es la actriz que se ha hecho con el puesto de mi actriz favorita. Pero puede que ya lo supieras si has visto Birdbox, ya que interpreta a la protagonista de la historia, Melanie.

No recuerdo mucho, pero no olvidaré lo mucho que me encantó la película y todo lo que tenía que ofrecer porque todo encajó a la perfección para mí, en particular las actuaciones de los actores principales, Sandra y Keanu.

Sandra Bullock es una actriz de la que puedo decir que es versátil en su oficio. Su destreza en distintos tipos de papeles es digna de mención. No es ninguna sorpresa verla prosperar en la industria del cine y convertirse en una personalidad irrefutable.

En Ocean's 8, asumió un papel que demuestra su capacidad para interpretar papeles distintos y seguir actuando como si fueran personas diferentes. Prácticamente dio vida a la película con su destreza interpretativa, junto a las otras talentosas actrices del filme.

Cuando se trata de contar una historia de forma no verbal, Sandra Bullock lo hace muy bien. Su lenguaje corporal, sus expresiones faciales y sus gestos contribuyen en gran medida a transmitir mensajes. Muestra emociones muy profundas en perfecta sincronía con las escenas. #pun-unintended.

La película de 2021 Lo Imperdonable es otra película que me hizo amar a Sandra aún más. Es difícil expresar lo impecable que fue su actuación. Es algo que hay que presenciar de primera mano para apreciarlo de verdad. Su actuación en esta película me cautivó y me hizo sentir profundamente conectada con su personaje. Sin duda, los muchos trofeos que ha ganado Sandra no están en su estantería sólo para aparentar. Es mi actriz favorita y la admiro mucho.

Su amor por el cine es eterno y su pasión por la interpretación, inquebrantable. Sin embargo, por desgracia (para mí), puede que se retire de la televisión durante un tiempo para centrarse más en sí misma y en su familia.

Hay dos películas que protagonizó que aún no he visto: La ciudad perdida y Tren bala. Cuando las vea, seguro que volveré a hablar de ellas y de su actuación en ellas, de la que no espero menos que algo excepcional.
