LeoShorts is Now Live: Create, Upload, and Monetize Short Videos on InLeo
The long-awaited LeoShorts is now live on InLeo! It's a game-changer because it is here to cater to the short attention span of people. Although InLeo has a buzzing microblogging space, LeoShorts is a new avenue for people to get creative with videos while keeping them short and engaging. Learn how to make your first LeoShort in this post and also monitize it.
InLeo is a web3 platform that runs on the decentralised technology of the Hive blockchain where there is true account ownership, zero censorship, and monetisation of long-form (articles) and short-form (microblogs) content. In addition to articles and threads (microblogs), LeoShorts is the latest and first integration on InLeo that allows users to directly add videos to the blockchain.
How to Upload a LeoShort
Simply visit the https://inleo.io/ and log in via your preferred sign-in method. If you're new, you can create your free account in a few minutes here.
Click on 'Upload Shorts' and it'll open a dialog box for you to insert your video and put in your title and description.
You can only upload a video that is shorter than 60 seconds. And when the video is selected, you may click the 'Upload' button to proceed.
When the progress bar is complete and the video is successfully uploaded, you will get a pop-up notification that "Your Short has been successfully uploaded to the queue and will be live on-chain within 10 minutes."
You will then get a notification from @leoshorts20 informing you about your successful LeoShort upload when it is live on-chain.
Dedicated Shorts Feed
There is now a feed for LeoShorts where you can find shorts uploaded on-chain. It has a similar feel to what you will find on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts - with the difference being that every like (upvote) rewards the content.
Users may also find all of their LeoShorts on their profile under the Shorts section alongside their Threads, Blog, and Wallet.
The user interface is intuitive, responsive, and pretty much what you are already used to. And with the team continually making upgrades, we can expect more features and functions to interact with for an engaging experience.

Anyway I am facing a challenge of accessing this videos. When clicking to view this short, I am only hearing sounds from the background yet the video is blur. Any idea/suggestions? Thanks
Hmm... That's strange. It may be some thing that the devs are working on. It should improve with time. Have you tried making a short?

Thank you for all these tutorials you put out there, but I am still unable to use inleo frontend in posting, your tutorial didn't help me much and I am beginning to think that perhaps I'm too old to understand certain technical stuffs. Is there any easier way to explain? I would appreciate that!

No, it doesn't appear on your feed on other front ends. It appears on @leoshorts20 feed instead.

Hey, Jay. Thanks a lot for this. I was working on the frontend and couldn't figure out how to do this. Then, I remembered that you made a post explaining the process.
It also took me a while at first. I figured many would feel the same, so I put this together. Glad you found it useful.
This upgrade will be a game changer, I believe. I saw the icon some days ago but didn't bother to check it out because I was more focused on the post I wanted to publish.
I think I should try it out , maybe first a video of the sun setting and a nice song in the background.
I hope the team behind will consider a longer video duration later on for content creators who are trying out web3 platform.

It'll make sense to have long form videos too, but perhaps we should soak this one in and not break the UI with too many upgrades at once.
