A BISHOP COLLAR SHIRT I MADE FOR A 3 YEAR OLD BABY
Making an outfit for little kids require a whole lot, because of this many needleworkers, designers or tailors so to say tend not to specialise in that line though we have those who specialised in that line, sewing for children but I must tell you it isn't an easy task.
Apart from the fact that their measurements is not easily taken, as some will be crying or won't be calm we always result to using head measurements and it must look good on them.
I will be taking you through how I made this lovely shirt.
MATERIALS USED
- Vintage fabric
- Collar stay
- Hair stay
- Buttons
- Thread
I starter my sewing, joining the shoulders together, after sewing the allowances added for button allowances.
Then I fixed the sleeve and close the body
Then I fixed the collar, did button holes and buttons
FINAL LOOK
