The beginning of the film was somewhat confusing and largely incomprehensible, and despite the delay in the element of excitement after the first quarter of the film, but this had a great impact on building a relatively new and non-repetitive story from the first part of the film and that was the only strong point unfortunately ... the writer was able to weave a story Good, it carries a lot of feelings and interconnectedness between the characters, and it has the same element of surprise as in the touring part of the movie, and this is a very good thing, executed with perfection and innovation.
The movie Don't Breathe 2 relied on ideas to create a general atmosphere of that is very weak and reaches the point of underestimating the minds of the viewers. We accepted the idea of an old and blind man with a great deal of intelligence and physical fitness that makes him a match for an entire gang in the first part, and this was justified because he knows the details of his house well. And that the gang was a group of untrained young people or teenagers, but in that part, he faces a well-trained gang, other than confronting them in places that this blind man goes for the first time and certainly can deter them all, and this is contrary to logic. They taught the cartoon greatly.
Also, the movie is classified under the list of psychological horror and in the movie, we did not find that classification in any way at the end throughout the events of the movie because the psychological horror element depends on the presence of a weak character facing a huge entity, and this was what was present in the first part, but this part is all equal in a way that contradicts any logic and spoils the general experience of the movie completely
But on the directive level in the action scenes, they were good and with new ideas, a wonderful implementation and made the film tend to categorize action more than the classification of excitement and horror.... The film preserved the beauty of cinematography, as it was in the first part, with camera filters between the orange color, which indicates the extent of anger within the hero of the story, and the blue color, which indicates emotional stability and endurance of difficulties.
On the acting level, there is no doubt that Stephen Lang is a brilliant actor and gave that character a unique character, and it became an icon in the history of psychological horror films, which is the main reason for enjoying both parts.... And also a wonderful representation of the child Madeleine Grace, who added a great balance to the film and differed from the first part ... On the level of evil, the first part is the hero who is the villain, but here the situation is completely different and his character develops and here we see the true creativity of Stephen Lang in the role of the father who hides inside him a cruel past as we have seen in many Many movies before
In the end, and to answer, was the movie Don't Breathe 2 worth the wait... The answer is, no, the movie lacks a lot of elements. It is considered a complementary movie to the events of the first part, and not an independent movie worth watching... But it is an evening that is not entirely bad and it is possible to watch the movie without great expectations just to know the fate of the hero. Enjoy a simple dose of action and excitement.
