Valheim: My first impressions, but will I still be able to survive this beautiful game? [ENG- ESP]
English
Hello, Hivers! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful day. Although I've been a bit absent these days, it's because I've been busy with certain things that had taken me a bit away from the networks, but as of today we're back to normal around here. A few days ago, bored, I was looking for games on Game Pass when out of nowhere I came across Valheim, which I bought on Steam a while ago, but due to a problem with my account, I lost it. Still, I noticed that on Game Pass it says "preview version", so I don't know how much content the game will bring as such, but I decided to give it a try. So, today I'll be talking about my first impressions of the game, which, I'll preface, are pretty good. A while ago there was a Valheim server in the community, but unfortunately at that time, I wasn't able to try the game. If not, I would have certainly joined them, because games this diverse deserve to never die. It should be noted that I invited my friends to play among us, but they didn't want to😊.
At first glance, I have to say that the game has quite attractive graphics. Although in reality, in the pictures you can't really appreciate them that much, since the effects of the setting are what makes everything shine much more. I understand that the story is about Odin sending us to this island to defeat certain bosses in different areas, although I don't know much since I didn't pay much attention to the prologue.
From the start, it has a Minecraft-like atmosphere, but in a very different way. As I imagined, the first thing is always to collect sticks and stones, haha. But well, this is very normal in survival games. I have to say that everything that has to do with the menus is quite intuitive, as it is a very different way to create things, although it is very limited at first, which had me very confused. But as you will see at the end of the post, I was getting the hang of creating objects.
I have to comment that, in the beginning, I felt that anything that crossed me could kill me with two blows. In fact, a group of two wild boars broke my face, haha. So I resigned myself to eating berries and mushrooms to survive. But hey, there are plenty of them all over the map, so I feel like I'll never run out of them. Also, I saw that some of them gave me seeds, so later on I should be able to plant them.
The first night I realized that I quickly had to start building my own house because during the night you can do almost nothing. I tried to go out, but I encountered certain disadvantages, such as the cold, which prevented me from getting very far from the campfires. I stayed for a long time near a hut I found, but I was looking for a good piece of land for quite a while to build my house.
Something that impressed me a lot is the physics of many things, like when a tree falls and the trunk falls, damaging everything in its path, it can even hurt you if you are in its path. But not only that, everything has great physics; water also works very well, although it's very easy to drown, so I imagine we'll have to build boats. So the first thing I did was to look for a good place near the water to build my first home.
I have to confess that when I tried to make my little house I went through a lot of frustration. First, finding a good area to make it was a challenge. I scoured much of the map looking for a decent area near the water, but that's understandable, as the map is very large and you always have to scour for good stuff. Still, I had to manage to build a small house.
Also getting used to the mechanics of having to build in a certain area based on a small area near the workbench is a bit complex. This limits you to a certain extent, but well, I guess it's a matter of having creativity, as I understand you can make really cool constructions. My little house is humble, but it's pure honest work, hahaha.
Already having a bed, everything becomes less forced, since I spent the first two days around a campfire thinking about life. Thanks to that, I discovered how animal meat is cooked. Well, there is an abysmal difference in the stats they give you compared to berries and mushrooms. But I have to keep in mind that I shouldn't finish the meat so fast because I don't know if the animals reappear.
End
I have to say that I completely forgot to mention that bowhunting is something on another level. It's very cool and instinctive because you have to approach very carefully, especially deer because they see you from a very far distance. My first idea was to get a bow because hunting with an axe or club is easy, but when hunting deer, it's very complicated. But now, with the bow, it is much easier. Thanks to that, I have hunted a lot and I have a lot of meat that recovers a lot. So for now, I have to go out only to hunt deer because the hide is necessary for many things that I have to start building.
Well, my people, this has been all my post for today. I hope you liked it as much as I did. To tell you the truth, Valheim surprised me for the better. I regret not having played it before, as I feel I could have had a lot of fun on the server that was in the community. Still, I hope to enjoy the game a lot solo. See you in the next post

¡Hola, Hivers!
Dude, you are absolutely amazing! When I first started this game, I couldn't do anything and I couldn't even build a house for myself. Okay, I admit that I might be that bad because I haven't watched any videos and I don't know the game, but like you said, at the beginning anything can destroy us directly and it's a bit unfair XD. Maybe in the future we can start a new Valheim server and we can play together.
There's something that sometimes I don't understand, which is that when he built something from nothing it gets destroyed, I don't know if it's that he needs support or something hahaha. It would be awesome to set up a server again, so maybe Brati or Perce would be encouraged to play.

Every time I see this game I’m really impressed with the style is not too complicated and it’s very bright and smooth. I love the survival aspect of it, all the different thing you need to craft and worry about in order to make it through. Bow-hunting is always so satisfying in almost every game that includes it. I always liked being an OP mage in Skyrim but it just could provide the satisfaction of a well-placed arrow shot. Perhaps it’s something primal. Can’t wait to see what you do next in the game. Looks like a lot of fun.
It's really a lot of fun, I used to use Mage in Skyrim too hahaha. I'm still very new to the game, there are too many things I don't understand but I hope to learn a lot to bring you a post with good progress.
Best game ever.
Now I understand why everyone spoke so highly of this game.
Now all you need is a mate to breed with to populate the land!😅
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I wish I could find one, if not good with an ogra.
I have to laugh, because I recently decided to get back into this game and I started by deleting everything and starting from scratch. I've been playing every spare minute for over a week now. First tip, camp in the open or sleep at night, at least until you can one shot most things in the biome. Trolls are not Teddy Bears. Sneak or Run away if you hear them. Swamps are a nightmare until you get your first tier iron armor and weapons. Don't even go near them at night. I play multiple worlds. One for peace craft, one for bosses, others for resource planets. XD. It's good to have a peace world to save you the headache of always dying and having to sneak back to get your stuff, or worse, recraft it. Live by the one hit rule. If something big hits you, hit that escape key and log into your peace world to heal and come back and try to escape or kill the thing that hit you. Well, there's my basic tips. I will say it gets more fun after you have conquered a few biomes. Take the time to max out a biome (gear and weapons) before taking on the boss. And listen to your Elders (watch the tips from pros on youtube and such). I'm close to taking on the blobby dude and head to the mountains for the first time.
Thank you very much for the tips friend, especially the world of peace that sounds very interesting, for now I do not want to see videos as such especially to make it more intuitive for me, but I know that in time I will have to see tutorials of many things. Thank you very much for taking your time to give advice to a newbie haha.
Oh! and in case you ever wonder why we play...
