One Step Closer
Happy Sunday Y'all
Well it seems that continued progress has been made at the lake lot. Not too much progress, mind you, but progress not the less. Slow and steady wins the race they say. After all they have had to contend with a hurricane, so I cant complain. I believe they will start to cut in the driveway this week which means we are one step closer to breaking ground for the house...hopefully next year.
The Beautiful Sunday and Sublime Sunday tags are some of my faves! I want to thank @ace108 for running the beautiful Sunday tag every week and keeping such detailed stats and supporting the accounts. Also, a shout out to @c0ff33a for the sublime Sunday tag where your random Sunday posts are always welcome!
I have been admiring this tree for a while now, so I decided to pull off and get a pic to feed to Google Lens. Apparently it is a Chinese Flame tree. In the summer it boasts some lovely golden flowers and in the fall it makes these pods that remind me of Chinese lanterns. I plan to get some in addition to some Magnolias and Crepe Myrtles.
I got a new little piece of artwork just in time for Halloween. My daughter snagged it at a local craft show and sent it to me. I typically dont go way out crazy for Halloween but I do enjoy a few lighthearted decorations.
Lets hope for a good week ahead. Remember the poor people hit hard by the hurricane, especially bad around Asheville, North Carolina!

I remember being a fan of Agents of SHIELD and one the quote I like was:
"The steps you take don't have to be big; they just need to take you in the right direction."
Never seen a Chinese Flame tree. We have what's called the Flame of the forest here and there are two version: the orange and the yellow.
