Where Are The Youth In All These?
A country who has no regard for the youth would surely collapse
It's not surprising why Nigeria is constantly on a relapse
Remember when we shouted vision 2020? This is 2024 and time has elapsed
There is no adequate investment in youths; it is the obvious leadership mishaps
Our leaders think they know it all, they can't even fill in the gaps
You see them travel around the world yet they can't read the common maps
Being older is a curse for our so called leaders
Especially with their zero impact like our political chaps
They want to suppress our voices that's why they have around us those death traps
They complain the youths are doing nothing except from Instagram snaps
If only they put a proper system in place, perhaps?
It's shameful and annoying because our leaders don't evolve, they live on recaps
They are powerful but can't effect vital changes, they are terrible handicaps
Accused of terrorism sponsorship...sponsoring those who go about with their kidnaps
Country in chaos, they leave the country to go and take their useless naps
The youths they failed to take care of would come around to burst their kneecaps
They won't think about this because they are on a mental lapse
They wear expensive caps on their empty skullcaps
Failed as a father and as a politician despite our forefathers' roadmaps
They hide undercover to do evil yet they blame those with hijabs
They fight to get to power, fight to stay there...with them nothing is as easy as the kebabs
Where is the time for the youth?
Saddening because the youth get swept off in their web
Get brainwashed because they want to follow in the way of godfathers
We said we want to make changes yet we forget when we get into power too
Power intoxicates and it's very easy to forget
That's why even the youth in power easily neglect
They go to the highest bidder and from one party to the other deflect
Where are the youth with dreams for a change in all these?
Where is the passion we all started with before money was introduced?
Power intoxicates and the love for money always seduce
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

Just like they say, the love of money is the root of all evil. Politicians should be the building block of growth in a country and an example to the youths. Expect nothing from a country whose leaders have no value.
Absolutely spot on. They have no value and regard for anyone. They are fueled by money and that's why Nigeria as an example would always be miles away from civilization. It's so sad though.
I'm telling you. We'll always be miles away from civilization as long as money remains the driving factor for politics.
The Nigeria system has been corrupted so much that even the future leaders of today which are the youth are no longer regarded. Well at a point, we should not blame the youth, we should blame leaders who show bad examples because like they always say, it always flow from the top and that is what is affecting the Nigeria youth of our present age
It flows from the top to the bottom...no doubt. They have led by bad examples so much that the youth now accepts it as the usual way. So when they also get into power, they do like the people they criticized. It's all messed up.
Perfectly true. But I still strongly believe we can still change something we the youth if only we are united and can cooperate together. We can actually change the narrative around and also birth a new Nigeria where all of us will be proud to be. If we want to see change, we must be the change we want to see
We can birth the new Nigeria if we cooperate and act in unison but this is where the problem is. Some are greedy and would rightly sell others out for peanuts. Our so called leaders know this too and that's why they amass wealth and keep everyone impoverished.
Perfectly said. I always say it that the new Nigeria that we desire will be birthed form cooperation and unity among the future leaders and that will start from the youth and the change we desire to see should start from us and it will flow all around the whole nations around the world
A very thoughtful post my friend, usually money changes people in different ways but in the end it is our necessary evil, and politicians should be the first to set an example to the younger ones as it is their responsibility that a country can grow but well if in the end those said leaders by saying it somehow do not set an example to the society what can you expect from the youth but well it is always good to renew and have new blood in some important position, thanks for sharing my friend ♥
Sadly... politicians are now good at setting bad examples filled with lies and deception. They have no human regards nor for the offices they hold as well as the citizens they are meant to serve. Money and power changes people.
Well yes my friend unfortunately it is so, and when a person comes to power will always look for ways to keep in that position or do everything possible to take as much as possible in his term but is how you describe, there are fewer and fewer honest politicians who are a clear example for young people today, have a great February 29 ♥
Very few honest politicians I have to be honest. Even the so called honest ones get easily manipulated and won over when the taste power and money. They are easily influenced and priorities change.
Certainly my friend, when they are in a high or important position they simply blind themselves and forget about everything and all the people who in one way or another have put them there in those positions but well, in short most politicians if not all, are not examples for today's youth, I hope you have a great weekend ♥
They intentionally blind themselves to what they stand for which is the truth and uphold what will make their pockets happy. It is sad.
Have a wonderful weekend too, my friend.
Nigeria is too corrupt but I’m still optimistic cos things will get better even though it takes a long time. Unfortunately, the youths only come online to rant and criticize the government for the things they do but they are always idle
That’s crazy!
Many youth are idle and want things to fall to them easily. Corruption is everywhere and now even the youths are toiling day and night in corruption. It's scary what the future holds for such a great nation like Nigeria.

Thank you. I will check it out.
I love this balanced angle. The older ones does not want to leave the post and rule with oppression and younger ones, once given a slight chance, would also behave like the older ones and do things to please the older ones and their pockets... forgetting their purpose all along. It's a sad reality.
You explained it well and you spotted that right on too. Thank you. Yes, both sides need to do better. The nation might be put into total chaos if things don't change. We have greedy and power thirsty people who would do anything to stay on board and for money too.
Greed is the problem. We see how the leaders try to keep everyone poor so they can amplify the greed. It takes discipline to live in a country like Nigeria and not be corrupted like most people.
They lead with poverty mentality. The more they keep people poor, the more they can control them to do their bidding with money. They rule the people with poverty and it's disheartening.

In fact, youths have been implicated by society in difficult stage for earn money for their personal needs. They can not engage himself in good activity that causes the change of society min set.
Money is the root cause of most evil and when anyone is motivated by money rather than nation building, things can't go well the way that is expected.
I also believe that the media plays a role in this. It has influenced people to pursue a luxurious lifestyle. Without these influences, people might have led simpler lives, and there wouldn't be a temptation to resort to shortcuts for earning money.
The Nigerian system is so corrupt, that the so-called leaders even make things more worst for us. They would leave the main problem we are facing in the country and focus on the less important ones. One of the things that made me angry lately is the fact that our president requested that Nigerians should be logged out of P2P on Binance. The small place we are using to survive.
They are clueless. That's why they have nothing in their heads to rule because there is actually nothing there. They just want to rule and amass wealth...they have nothing to offer to the nation. I heard about the ban. They are not providing job opportunities yet they are taking away livelihood from those who rely on it. It's annoying.
I believe our youth really need to stand up this time and change the narrative no matter what people might have say. The youth are the future of tomorrow and so we must be the change we desire. I strongly believe it is not yet too late for us to be that change we desire to be no matter what may it may be. The youth need to stand up and set the standard or what do you think? @olawalium
It is true that today's young generation will have to play an important role in this country, if the country is to develop, then there is only one way left for young people in every sector. So that they can run things according to the modern times and the old times the way we see things being run, which is why things are running so much slower now, the old people have to put all the command in the hands of the Young Youth.
Power intoxicates, I totally agree with you, some people when they have a lot of money, and obviously power, they believe they are immortal, even a word that they say moves even the economic market, for example Elon Musk, this man forgets that to die you only need to be alive and that everything he does is seen by a supreme being, although he does good things as well as some unpleasant ones, I do not trust this man full of arrogance
