Thanksgiving.
In all things we should give thanks regardless of the state of our mind; whether it's happiness or sadness. Being grateful should be a constant state of our mind. When we constantly put ourselves in a state of complaining, we overlook so many things that God has done for us. Our mind and focus shifts and we start tending towards the slippery slope.
Being alive today is for a good reason and for the will of God to be fulfilled. As long as we live, we have a purpose and for that, we need to be grateful for life.
It takes a deeper thought to be able to acknowledge and appreciate what God has done for us - the ability to think, to reason, to breathe, to live and still be able to do what others find hard to do, is priceless. It is God who guides us as a good shepherd that He is. He is our guide and He leads us to where we need to be and go.
God has the ability to restore our soul when we allow Him to lead us. He is a backing that never backs out. A guide knows everything there is to know and leads you to what you never knew about. God is a worthy guide. He knows the end from the beginning and the beginning even from the end. Nothing is hidden from His sight. It's all the more reason we need to commit ourselves and lives to Him because He is able.
The devil will do anything to move you away from the presence of God. Stay in His presence and choose to see the things that will make you appreciate God more, even in the good and the bad times.
God is our peace and He knows how to bring calmness to the raging storms in our lives. Peace, be still! This is even a better reason to thank God because He us able to turn every situation around for us and bring peace, calmness and happiness jnto our lives or whatever has eluded us through the works of the evil one.
Be grateful. Be thankful. God is worthy of your praise.
Praise proceeds to you oh Lord from my heart
Forever I will sing your praise throughout the earth
Your manifold work of wonders is evident on my face
You are the God full of mercy, favour, power, might and grace
There is no searching you out...they can try but there is no trace
You always send your shower of blessings as rain
I will thank you even in the midst of my pain
Which of God's blessings can be denied? That's why thanksgiving should be our utmost desire.
