No matter how bad you think the year has ended for you, there are a lot of people who would give anything to be in your shoes
We have those who wish the year shouldn't end yet due to deadlines they need to meet and we have those who look up to the new year with hope and excitement. Those who wish to start again on a clean slate and banish the thought of the year that is ending. We all have our own reason for the year ending and for the new year coming.
In all things, be grateful...be thankful. It's not as bad as you think. It's not as horrible as it's painted. What are the things you are grateful for? Being grateful is an application for the next thing God would do. He is the God in good and bad times. Because you are going through a bad time it doesn't mean God shifted His position in being good...no... Our faith is all that matters when we choose to be thankful...it's a good heart disposition to have.
Bless the Lord Oh my soul and forget not all His benefits.
God daily loads us with benefits. God is always doing something but we sometimes choose to focus on the things not working. God is always working but sometimes we expect the result in a short space of time which always leave us frustrated. Even when you can't see it, He is working in your favour. You can know what you want but only God knows what you need. All things work together for your good and only when you believe this, can your attitude change towards what life throws your way.
If God opens your eyes to the things He has saved you from and how He has come through for you, then you will see the innumerable blessings He has clothed you with, only by His mercy and not your human effort.
No matter how the year is ending for you, look forward to the new year with even a renewed hope. Look forward with excitement and know that it only gets better going forward. Whatever greatness you have achieved this year, it can be better in 2024 and no matter how bad 2023 is, know that you can have a better start for 2024 and end it better.
We sometimes focus on the dark or black spots without thinking twice to appreciate the white space surrounding the white dot on that white piece of paper.

I agree with you on that, it's indeed a time to start all over again but we are approaching things better because we have acquired lots of experience last year to help us get on track this year.
Exactly...each hurdle we crossed last year is a preparation for 2024...we have become wiser and better as we should be...we must leverage on that.

Only an ingrate wouldn't have anything to be thankful for. Imagine how Akeredolu, the late governor would have been willing to pay just to stay alive.

I heard of his story and wondered...despite all his money, influence and affluence, he couldn't buy life. That's why God will always be greater. I am sure if he was asked to pay to see the end of 2024, the late governor would have gladly done so.

In all situations, we should give thanks no matter what. Yes I knew the year might have been filled with ups and down and might not have gone as planned but the truth of the matter is, we are grateful to God for how he has brought us and so much that has been done. You are perfectly right. In all things we should be grateful to God. 2023 has been full with ups and down but nevertheless, it has been awesome. I am so sure that 2024 will be great and will offer more greater thing for us. We should be grateful to God for how far he has helped and sustained us so far all through 2023. I am so optimistic of what 2024 has to offer to us and the greater things to come. Instead of us to complain of the bad times we faced in 2023, we should be grateful also for the good things we faced in 2023.
I love this optimism for the new year. This is the right approach to entering the new year to give us a good head start because how we start matters too but God is always the defining One.

Over the last year I have just lost a lot in crypto and because of that I also went into depression and lived in a lot of trouble but I also did not give up and worked hard after that. And the next two years will be good for all those who have spent the last two years in trouble.

We need to be grateful to God for bringing us thus far. It's human to forget and the Bible knows this which is why it reminds us not to forget his benefits. I am thankful too.

We should do that all our dreams and desires must be fulfilled within this year and all these things can happen for one reason and that is that we will have to work hard day and night. Humans sometimes forget that the lives they live were given to them by God, and they try to live it without putting God first, without asking the owner of their life how to live the life He has given them. There's one thing I know for sure: God loves us, and He wants to be in our lives. The way some people talk about their hardships, when narrating, you won't even see them mention God or their trust in Him.
If you think God will just come into your life without you calling Him, then you must be joking. That's when you'll know God loves us and respects us. He won't just barge into your life; all He's waiting for is for you to call Him into your life, as the scriptures say: 'Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.'
So whatever has happened in the past, let it be there, and look forward to a better future. Also, learn from your past mistakes. Don't forget, God is with you and in you, so put Him in everything that concerns you and your life, no matter how little you think it is. God wants to be there.
