So Hello, everyone how are you all? I shifted to Bangalore some time back and many of you know this but today I am repeating it again because I have to tell something related to this.Ever since I came to Bangalore, I have not visited There is one temple which is ISKCON temple but what happens in ISKCON temple is that the worship is done in the same way as worship is done in our North side temple But specifically I haven't visited any temple that follows proper South Side culture or I haven't attended any program or function where I could see the South Side culture.

So this was my first time when I was going to visit in a proper temple in South Side and that too because of my friend He had told me a day before that Bhaiya Tomorrow we have to go to the temple and you should also be ready to go to the temple So after waking up in the morning, we finished our normal work and whatever pending work was there, we finished it so that we could be free in the evening to go to the temple.
As you can see in the picture, we both were very happy. The reason for being happy was that he goes to the temple regularly but this was the first time I was going with him and I was also feeling good that I was going with him.

I had absolutely no idea how far the temple was or which mode of transportation we would have to take to get there So my roommate Patil told me that brother we can go there on foot, that temple is just about one and a half kilometer from here So we too went out dancing in joy. While walking on the road, first of all we saw a lot of traffic, which I usually don't like. After that we saw many more temples on the way and before going to main temple we visited one more temple And slowly while talking to each other we reached the temple. To be honest, I was a little tired while going there because my daily schedule does not involve walking so much.

Walking is also included in my daily routine. My office is 800 meters away from my house. I take four rounds in a day but it is not consistent. I walk only 800 meters at a time. But you can also say that I was excited to go to the temple and I was not feeling that much tired, so we went along talking.

This temple is located near Mahalakshmi Layout metro station in Bengaluru If you get down at Mahalakshmi Layout metro station, you will have to walk approx 100 meters from there after that you can reach this temple.I saw that there were a lot of people on the road and mostly people were coming after visiting the temple or were going to have darshan. The first thing I saw after reaching there was a shoe stand, so we kept our shoes there. They charged ₹5 per foot and there was a place to wash hands and feet just next to it After depositing our shoes and washing our hands and feet, we entered the temple and the peace we felt after going there was a different kind of peace.

Before going there I thought that there would be some difference in the way of worship there and rituals would be followed in a different way but it was not like that at all The way puja is done on our side, puja was being done here in the same way. It was around 7 in the evening and it was time for Aarti.

There are two very big idol located here. The first idol of God that I saw was the idol of Mahalakshmi and Mahalakshmi is considered a symbol of wealth. You can also see in the pictures that there was a lot of crowd there. After having darshan of Maa Lakshmi ji, we went to have darshan of Bajrangbali ji.

Bajrangbali is considered a symbol of courage and wisdom.I have never seen such a big idol of Hanuman ji in my life till date and mostly the color of Hanuman ji's statue that I have seen is saffron color. But the idol of Bajrangbali here was black in color, I don't know what is the reason behind it because I don't have much idea about this temple but surely I will read or ask to someone about this culture,The idol of Hanuman ji there was very big and my friend told me that the decoration of the entire mala changes every day.And the thing about decorating that garland is that every day the garland is made from some kind of dish and offered to Hanumanji.
IMG_20241123_191421_505.jpg
The garland that you are seeing around Hanumanji's neck is not a normal garland of flowers. It is made by preparing some kind of dish and then it is offered to him.My friend told me that on different days, different dishes are decided which are used to made or converted into a garland and offered to Lord Hanuman.I do not have that much knowledge, if I have said something wrong and you people know then you can correct me, I will be grateful to you

After worshipping Mahalaxmi ji and Hanuman ji in the temple, all the devotees are expected to exit from the temple from a common path there you will find two very large size sacred footprints/holy sandals of Hanuman ji kept there, people perform parikrama around them and take blessings and there are always ghee lamps burning near the sacred footprint/holy sandals as you can see in the pictures

After going here, one experiences a different kind of peace and there are many stories about this temple which I have not been able to share with you.Because I don't have that much knowledge but after sitting there I observed some things which I am sharing with you people

  • There is a proper place in this temple where you can sit and study, that means this temple has two functions, they give you books to read.
  • There is also a dedicated mediation hall where you can medidate.
  • This temple also runs food arrangements at many places where people who are not able to offer food on their own, take food from there.
  • Here you are also provided with the facility of a library from where you can get a book issued and take it for reading.

We went on foot but while coming back we were a little tired and it was already a little late, so instead of coming by foot we used the metro Because apart from being tired and late, there was another reason that if we were too late, we would not get food in the PG
